Its my theory that since she is Trish in disguise she has some sort of costume or spell thing over her whole body. Case in point: she takes off the whole costume at once (probably with magic) to reveal she is Trish, wearing pants and her blouse thing underneath it.

I HAVE TEH GAME!!
Only played the 1st 2 levels so far, but loving it very much. Neros devil bringer arm is very cool and I've found it easier to keep combos going by grabbing enemies and bringing them to ME, rather than having to chase them all over the place like the last game. Still haven't quite got the hang of the exceed system yet. I presume I'm supposed to press and hold it as I hit triangle, to power-up the next hit, but I'm finding it tricky to do mid-combo. I suppose I'm just not used to it and need to practice. So far though, not a single fault I can find. EDIT: Also, finishing Berial by smashing his face into the ground is just plain awesome. |
Just tap L2 just after you land a hit for a just-rev. For a normal rev hold L2, release when the bar stops, hold again, release and hold to power it up once.

I'm actually working on a video explaining some of the finer points of DMC4's combat mechanics.
I'll be covering Ex-Act, and jump cancelling for Nero, as well as the effects of the Devil Bringer on different enemies, i.e., which enemies you can damage more by mashing the DB button. ...Quick tip: this might be old news for some of you, but so far no one I've talked to about DMC4 has caught on except for me. When you've got enough charge for a level one or two Ex move and you execute a Streak attack with Nero, you've probably noticed that he holds the wind-up stance. Traditionally, holding the wind-up stance means that you can keep the button depressed to increase the damage / range / effect of the attack. For Streak, this is only half true. Nero holds the pose so that you can rev up the Red Queen before the attack fully animates. It also looks a lot cooler than just doing a level one or two Streak, plus sometimes Nero gives a crazy little laugh while he's revving. It's good stuff. ...Lastly, when I'm done with my Nero vid (probably sometime this week), would anyone be interested in a link? ...Not sure if this is the right place for that kind of thing though, PM me if interested. |
Completed it last night! Booya!
I didn't really like Lucifer, sorry guys, although the cutscene where you got it was excellent. I do prefer Pandora's Box. Didn't level it up enough to see if I could get that final form he uses but dayum, Ebony and Ivory still rule my world. On a personality note - did anyone notice how Rocky Balboa a la the 5th film Dante seemed to Nero's Tommy Gunn? Seriously, I was feeling strong Sly Stallone bits at points, especially in his voice when he's calling Nero a kid. I hated the fist weapon. I hated it in the first game, I hate it in this one, it makes you too darn slow. Admittedly if you manage to pull off an attack it is powerful but meh, bring back the 3 part staff from 3! |
You mean Rebellion? That wasn't in the first game...
|
Rebellion's the sword(?), I'm talking about the Ifrit gloves in the first game which were redone and renamed for this game. After you seal the jungle gate.
I'm calling it the same because it's got exactly the same moveset and moveset names as that one. |
Actually, its more like a combination of that and Beowulf from the third game.
|
hmm, oddly didn't mind Beowulf in that one. Maybe it was faster?
|
Not hardly. It just killed things way faster so you weren't swinging and missing constantly.
