I like the Gilgamesh actually.
|
Gilgamesh is alright, I just got it a while ago. I was initially talking about Ifrit.
I'll never understand why they make a whole new set of names for weapons you already own. Anyway. It's interesting how Dante and Nero are so different. After 12 levels of Nero I keep wanting to yank the enemy towards me and Buster finish them. I've always been a fan of the guns, so I love having Ebony and Ivory back. Each of the styles is drastically better than 3 too, which is nice. I loved slipping right back into Dante just like old times. An interesting thing is that the entire dynamic of DMC4 kind of explains away Lucia. I mean, I don't like bringing her up either, but all these humans with enhanced strength and Devil Trigger powers stuck out until I registered the whole "Humans Made Demons In Their Cult" thing, and suddenly Dante is only significant because his father was Sparda and, aside from that, he's actually half demon, not genetically modified. It makes the entire Devil May Cry universe have alot more depth and possibilities for future installments. |
Just got done editing my first video!
(Yes, that implies there will be others.) It's a general 'tricks of the trade' sort of thing for Nero -- enemy specific tactics and stuff, I figured, was important enough to warrant its own video. There was also the length aspect. I'll upload it before I go to bed. Expect to see a Youtube link sometime soon. ALSO: Gilgamesh = Ifrit with Beowulf's Swordmaster moves. I really dig Gilgamesh. In DMC3, Beowulf handled just like Rebellion, only a tad slower -- all the controls were set up in a "universal" sort of system. Gilgamesh reverses them, plus drops the Straight, which gives it a much more unique feel. Gotta love charging up Gilgamesh while you're buffering some Charged Shots. |
I just switched over to Dante. God it's like learning a whole new game! Switching styles mid flow is still kinda weird, and I don't like Dantes charge shots, they just don't seem to have the impact of Neros. Oh and I miss my teleport ability, so I really need to increase trickster some more.
But at the moment, I appear to be stuck in a spacial loop, with no way forwards. Yes, that's right, for the first time ever in a DMC game, I'm actually lost! Curse you repetatively-looping-identical-maze puzzles! |
Oh yeah took me a while that one, you head down to the river and there's a portal under the bridge.
I really love using Dante with sword master and twirling the sword like a loony. |
Yeah I found that one alright, but now I'm stuck in that damn looping forest maze of doom and sunlight again. I can reach the 2nd branching path ok, but then all 3 paths lead to the reset fight. All other portals lead to their adjacent areas, leaving me no other way forward.
The only other doors out lead to that recked canyon scaffold section, which is obviously now impassable. |
...As it turns out, THE VIDEO IS READY!
Uh, don't expect something amazing. Just something informative. Here you go. It's a Nero tutorial! |
the shadows bit with the crossroads? It worked the same as before:
examine the signs and it'll give you an aerial view of the statue in the center. You'll see the shadow pointing towards one path, go to the one opposite. At one point it'll direct you back towards the branch which has teh door, do it, it'll warp you to the next part of the repeating maze. |
Or even easier for the Lost Woods part just make sure Nero/Dante's shadow is behind them when you take an exit. As long as your shadow is directly behind you on the path then that means you're picking the correct choice.
|
Or just go north, south, east, east.
