Headsets

I need a good one for gaming. Which ones do you reccomend that arent too exspensive. Which ones should I avoid?

I've used a lot of headsets over the years and really anything $20 and above is going to serve you well, so just keep that in mind and don't buy something for $50.

The thing to remember with headsets is no matter what the cost they are all delicate, handle them with care.

Yes, I feel the need to stress this. As my brother bought a headset for $53, and the damn thing broke as soon as he opened it from the package...

If you're talking about for your PS3, any decent Bluetooth model for a cell phone works. go into your local bell/rogers/whatever you usians have for cell phone stores and ask for a demo on quality and sound.

If for a PC, anything will go between a price-range of, say $15 and $25 USD.

Me, I have a headset plus mic combo for about €5.
Which serves me very well. It's all about your preference.

Ideally, the headset would work with both my PS3 and PC, but if not, Id put priority on PS3, as I caN at least type on a keyboard.

I just bought one for $18 at ShopKo. GE (General Electric) brand. Headphones and detachable, flexible microphone good for your average headphone and microphone jacks. Really nice recording quality, too.

I'm a fan of Altec Lansing and Logitec, though Skullcandy is seven sorts of awesome. I go for sets that have large deep pads that I can live with wearing for hours. I used to use the over the ear and normal ones, but I have, through years of too much gaming, developed a chronic ear pain if I wear headsets that rest on my ear in any way.
