DEBATE: do we have lives?
 

Any geek (and face it, we all are) has probably been told to "get a life" at some point at least once. Some people will even admit thry have no life.

So the question is, Do we have lives, or do we all need to go get one?

listen to yourself, you are talking to possibly hundreds of people with this one post! who else can say that they have gained so much attention in their everyday lives?

the point is you and I have friends here, and if not you will soon. as long as you have contact with other people, you still have a life.

I know, I know, really I do! I was mostly just curous to see how people would reply.

Why would a mod close the thread? Its not spam is it????

It has the potential, it's just starting to look like many of the threads I've seen that were closed for one reason or another.

It took me 2 days to find out what spam was.)

I'd call this spam.. try posting a topic that isn't so broad, and isn't so.. uh, not meaning to use the word negatively but.. stupid. Try.. favorite bands, or TV shows, or something. Message boards arent for random inane posts. Chatrooms are. ^_^

nah, I don't see it as spam. Do we have lives? My answer is yesno. yes because obviously we have eachother, but I don't have much of a life off-line. As I am fond of saying, I'm a child of the internet generation. It is an occasion, when I have a day off, to see the light of day.

I don't think its spam either, just a legitimate question about how we perceive ourselves as people. Alright, those were just a bunch of big words for no reason.

Anyway, I would say I have a life, but only some of the time. It isn't the geekiness, its when I have nothing to take up my time, which is sadly often for me.

Of course, I guess that goes for everyone, so big help I was.

Don't see why this thread would be locked - nor does it appear it will be.

That said - before we can say whether we have a life, we first have to decide what makes one. That right there is really the point of argument.
