Love Rumble: Not That You Sick Bastard!
Yes.. SK is running Rumble this time. I promise not to mess it up too much!
This site is dedicated to Rumble! This is something IC made that I am stealing! It is on how to play the game and gives helpful hints. If you try and give me a power similar to wise men I will punch you in the face. I want it to be a love theme Rumble for Valentine's Day. Make all your powers love theme. Chocolates, flowers, midgets in diapers, or whatever you want! Other than that have fun! Sign ups will last until I don't feel like it anymore. Members!: 1. Inbred Chocobo 2. Twiddy 3. DarthMauler64 4. bananarama 5. Arhra 6. Moogle 7. Demetrius 8. deathpigeon 9. Telephalsion 10. Wizardcat 11. Ecurt 12. Doppler Power List! Visions of beauty: You know everyone's powers. You can also choose to see everyone's actions sent in so far before submitting your actions. Big Ole' box of chocolates: Anyone that bids 10 energy on this power gains a copy of this power. When you gain this power, it turns into one other random power (This cannot change into itself) Chocolate Sampler: At the beginning of a round, you eat a chocolate and gain a random power until the end of the round. Because you're trying to watch your weight, you can't use this power multiple times in one round and you can't use it on the following round. Till Death Do Us Part: Burn 15, target another player to propose to. By the next round, you and the targeted player are married (Congratulations!). Because of this union, both you and the targeted player know each others powers and the damage dealt to one of you is split equally between you two (the only exception to this damage rule is if you or the targeted player deals damage to the other, but that's spouse abuse WHICH IS BAD!!!). Should one of you die, the remaining player inherits a quarter of the starting energy and all of the powers of the dead one. This power cannot be changed, negated, and/or affected in any way. You can only use this power once. 1 is the loneliest number: burn 10 energy and all special attacks made against you this turn fail outright. This Valentine's Day is one you get to spend alone, even if someone else wants to share it with you. Eat your own chocolates: burn 10 energy to gain 20 energy back at the end of the turn. You drive yourself to the Hallmark store to buy yourself some chocolates, then sit at home and eat them by yourself. Making Love: This may be used once each round. Select another player. This round, your Defense and the selected player's Defense are combined into a single total and attacks to either player are redirected to this total. Should any damage occur, it is distributed evenly between both players. Aphrodite's Favor: Whoever has this power is immune to all other powers. If a player damages the controller of this power, the controller loses this power and the damager gains it. Tango Rose. Burn 10 energy. Held in between your teeth, this rose allows you to either throw the rose at someone hurting them for 5 points of unstoppable damage, or dance with any player for one round. When dancing, both partners take only half the amount of damage from attacks, but you may not attack, powers however, are still avaliable. When the dance is done the Tango Rose is now in between the teeth of the other player. Why? Don't ask. In case of a rose-throw, the targeted person is the new owner of the rose. The new owner of the rose cannot dance with the previous owner. If the owner of the rose dies, the rose is lost. Box o' chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get: The owner of the box of chocolates MUST share the chocolates with all players, no player may get more than two pieces of chocolate, every player must receive at least one chocolate before the owner may eat one himself. The owner may give two chocolates each turn. All chocolates are consumed directly unless otherwise specified. Pass it around! The person who kills the owner of the chocolate box may claim the box for himself, in case of "ganking", determine the winner based on the one who used the most energy to attack, in case of a tie, roll a dice. The new owner must give chocolates to others before he or she may eat. All good things must come to an end. When there are no more chocolates left, the owner will take 5 points of damage from sadness, but he will also wear the box as a helmet, adding 5 points to his defence on every turn thereafter. The box contains the following 26 chocolates: 1. Coconut Fudge - Consumer will attack the owner of the Box of Chocolates with at least half his current energy, the consumer may chose to put more energy into this attack. If the owner eats this one he will attack himself, so that's not too smart. 2. Soft Toffée - Gives 10 energy but lowers defense by 5 for the next turn. 3. Cream Nougat - Adds 10 points to defence for the net round and gives 10 energy aswell. 4. Autumn Nougat - Adds 10 to defense for the next round. 5. Cherry in Liqueur - Causes 10 damage. 6. Liqueur Truffle - Doubles the strenght of all attacks for the next round, but also cases all attacks against the consumer to suffer double damage. 7. Nut Truffle - Gives a powerful nut which may be used as a free special attack, this attack will cause 10 damage. 8. Pearl Nougat - The consumers powers will be announced, but he will also gain 20 energy. 9. Rum Raisin - If the consumer has lost more than half of his starting energy, he will gain 20 energy, otherwise he will lose 10 energy. 10. Tripple Nut - The consumer gains three nuts which can either be eaten for an additional 2 defence, or used to attack a foe for 2 points worth of energy. 11. Trophy Nougat - The one who gets the trophy nougat is immune to skills that cause damage untill he eats it. However, while it is in his possession, and not eaten, he takes double damage. Upon consumption, the Trophy nougat heals for 5 points. 12. Eggnog - Halves the strength for all attacks during the next round. 13. Orange Truffle - Gives 10 health. 14. Truffle - Doubles the strenght of all attacks for the next round. 15. Nougat - Adds 5 Health 16. French Nougat - The consumer may use one of his powers for free. 17. Noisette - The consumer may eat this at any time. When eaten, it gives the owner a 10 pts/round regeneration, for three rounds. This regen can bring a person back from the dead, note however, that if cannot be eaten when dead, and if the holder is killed before eating this lovely praline, the praline goes to the person who slew him. 18. Almondsplinter - The consumer may chose when to eat this chocolate. Upon consumption, the consumer will take 5 unstoppable damage, and all players will take one point of unstoppable damage. 19. Toffée Nut - Gives the consumer a nifty nut, which may be used as a free special attack at any time. This attack can heal anyone for 5 energy. 20. Marsipan - Disables consumers skills for the next round. 21. French Nougat - May be eaten at any time, at which point you will puke, and be incapacitated for one round, however, you will be invurnerable while unconcious though. 22. Fudge Log - Is eaten immediately and it gives the wielder the, possibly awesome, or more likely, adverse effect of healing instead of attacking. Note that you cannot attack yourself or a dead person, and that the log will melt after three attacks. 23. Liqourice - This piece of chocolate filled with the darkest of candy creates a mirror image that will absorb all attacks directed at the consumer, powers are not included. May be eaten at any time. The shadow clone only exists for the next round 24. Triple Chip Chocolate - The sheer chocolatey goodness of this chocolate makes it way too tasty to give to anyone else. May only be eaten by the owner of the chocolate box when he has given every other player a piece of chocolate. Should the box change hands, however, it may be eaten at any time. this chocoholics dream heals for 50 points, although it will also reveal the owner of the box's other abilities. 25. Raspberry Heart Truffle - The person you give it to will be your valentine, and as such, should you die, the box is given to this person, unless your valentine is dead, in which case normal box-inheritance rules apply. 26. Marsipan Liqueur - This horrible praline will reduce anyone with more than 100 energy to 10 energy, hurt anyone with more than 60 for 20 points, do nothing for someone with more than 20, but heal someone with less than 20 for 20 points. Cupid's Arrow - You may use this ability on every even numbered day. Choose someone to strike with your arrow. The person struck with this arrow falls in love with you and they become your ally(You don't need to kill each other to win the game, and they can't attack you/use powers that can badly affect you). This alliecnce wears off if you use another arrow to make someone else your ally. The owner ability of this ability is not revealed, except to the one targeted with an arrow. Special Candies - Select one of these abilities and one player other than yourself. a) Gain 30 Energy. b) You may not attack. c) You defense is halved. d) You take no damage. e) You may instead spend energy instead of burning energy. f) Gain a pet bunny ally with 40 energy. g) Nothing except for yummy sugary goodness. Once a player has been selected, the GM offers the candy through PM, though the targeted player is not told which candy was picked. If they accept the candy, they gain the effect of the power during the next turn. If they do not accept, the holder of this power gains the effect. If the chosen player does not decide within 36 hours of the Resolution Step being posted, then the holder of this power can make the decision. You may only use each candy once. You must use this ability every turn. If you do not submit your action, a random candy is picked for the owner to eat. Sugar Tooth- Each turn, you eat one random power aside from this one; this occurs automatically even when other powers would normally prohibit you from using it. Powers that are eaten cannot return, their previous effects are negated, and if multiple copies of the same power exist they are eaten at the same time as the original. When there is nothing left to eat, the owner gets sick and receives 100 unblockable damage as cavities. Porn, the perfect gift: spend 10, target player loses all actions, can't use on the same player more than once every three turns Morning sex: become buddies with target player untill you pick a new target, if you are the only two left, joint win. Anyone who bids over 10 on this power gets it. Cardioid: Active Power -Spend E energy: deal "1 - e * sin(e)" damage to target enemy. <3: Passive Power -If the owner of this ability begins the round with less than 3 health (but greater than zero), the owner may deal X damage to target enemy at no cost. X may be up to 90% of the target's current energy total. The owner of this ability gains X energy. This power activates before all other powers that round. Plucking Petals: Do they love you or not? Only the flower knows! Each turn you either deal 25 damage to a random opponent or you and all allies gain 25 energy. This is determined randomly. Making Babies: Mmmmmm, babies. Usuable once per turn, spend 20 energy and target a player other than yourself. Starting next turn, that player is pregnant! Attacking, defending, and using abilities all cost 50% more. However, three turns later, the baby comes to term. The player no longer suffers the penalties and gains a child sidekick with 20 energy. Whoring it up - You may choose 2 players, they fight to their full power against one another until one dies. You are then their bitch and will aid them in winning, if they win you win, and vice versa. You must assign this power at the beginning of the game after bids are revealed. This alliance remains secret. Not Whoring it up - You are able to split henchmen/whores from their Pimp. You do this by spending 20 energy per pair you wish to split up. The freed henchmen now attack randomly/under GM control. "Valentine's Day Poetry" Once a turn, you may write a sonnet to one of the other players in the thread. Following the traditional format, you must somehow incorporate love in there, as well as some aspect about the target member, and cannot have been previously used in the game. That target then must write another love sonnet to someone else, who must also write another love sonnet. This chain continues until a target is unable to write a sonnet by the end of the turn, at which point that person receives X damage. X = Number of Sonnets included in this chain * 10 Expensive Tuxedo: Prevent the First 50 damage. You also have +10 defense every round. Endless Roses: Spend 10, Deal 20 points of unstoppable damage to target player. Usable once per turn. Every attack you make has +10. |
Rumble? I'm in. Powers to come once I think of some.
In and I'll think up of some powers... eventually....
I'd love to join SK.
Count me in.

I'll join.
I'm in, powers to come.
I can't resist the temptation; I'm in.
Can you add a rule about no powers that involve more than 2 steps of calculations?
That wouldn't be a bad idea considering the horror of last game.
Tell me if my powers are too intricate, in which case I will make simpler ones.
Edit: Nevermind.. I think I will determine if the power is too complicated and can win a game too easily. Don't worry I won't let anything like the wise men happen again.
I'd just like to take this chance to say that I hate whoever invented Box o' Chocolates on general principle.

I'll play
I'll have powers in sometime during my hangover.
I think I will close sign ups Thursday. After that you will have until Sunday night to get powers in. =D
Aww only 12 peeps so far? :( I'll try to advertise this game on my sig...
Yikes, I had a long hangover. Powers are in your box SK.
Okies, everyone turned in their powers but I have some people who had to redo some things so I will wait to start everything until tomorrow when I get home from work. So, people who I told to fix things need to have them fixed by tomorrow night.
If you are absolutely certain there is no other power you could possibly ever want then you can start turning in bids now. =D |
Does Cardioid take 'e' as degrees or radians?
It's calculated in radians. Come on, degrees would be infinitely more painful to use.
Some people didn't get their powers in on time but replacement powers were made!
Time to get those bids in! The deadline for bids is Saturday night! |
My bids are in. Woo!
I've sent out most powers but there are some ties that need settling. I have given them until tomorrow at 12 p.m. EST to turn them in. I'm sick so I might be on and off depending on how I'm feeling. I'm going to sleep now but I will probably be up in a few hours. The thread should be up tomorrow by 1 EST.
