Big Families
 

So, how big is big nowadays? I thought I had a neat family, about 6 cousins, 4 uncles, 2 aunts, several great relatives...

Until one freakish NPFer informed me they had 18 cousins and 7 uncles.

What do you guys got?

Oh fuck you it's not big.

Edit: Seriously come on that's both sides put together it's NOT THAT BIG OF A FAMILY.

Edit 2: AND LIKE ONE OR TWO OF THEM ARE TECHNICALLY HALF UNCLES I THINK

I've got... 4 aunts and an uncle...

Between them, one of them is about to have twins, one already DID have twins, one has 7 children, one has two, another has 2, uhm... and I know my 4th cousin.

So, uh, that's 13 cousins, plus an extended family of craziness.

My grandfather had 13 siblings. I know two of them.

My dad's side of the family

My dad has 3 brothers and 4 sisters (one of his brothers has 9 kids)

My mom's half she has 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

In total I think I have 40 cousins (to many to count)

Man, I have 6 cousins (most of whom are very young), 2 aunts, 4 uncles (all sides of family totalled together). You guys are all crazy. Ever heard of
birth control?

I have, on my dad's side, 2 aunts and 3 uncles. Plus marriages and divorces off of that base. Between the marriages and divorces, I have four cousins and a half-cousin. On my mom's side, I have one aunt and two cousins. Plus my older cousin's wife and new baby.


Really, my dad had a bunch of sibs, and my mom's mom had a TON of sibs, but for the roots of such a big family, not that much really grew out of it in an immediate sense. :sweatdrop

6 aunts and 3 uncles on one side, like 3 aunts on the other.

I have so many cousins I just try not to think about it, though a few years ago the count was somewhere near 30.

I am sadly the product of a long line of southerners.

One of my uncles is a fundamentalist (to the point they thing Bush is Christ reincarnate)

Have a huge family. About a dozen cousins that I know of and that's just off the top of my head.
