And the thing in the story is not meant to banish this demon (There is a way, you will discover it later), but it is one of the only spells I found that a Priest of any Christain religion would use, since most if not all of the spells in Call are based on Voodoo, Paganism, or other foul magic that any sane Priest wouldn't dare use.
