Yah Demon. So don't ever call him a hack. He's not a hack... some people write like that because they ENJOY IT!

Demon with a Glass Hand 03-23-2004 09:58 PM

I'm being completely sincere!

"... closest thing I ever had to a father get stuck onto the wall via knives, and shot in various spots that wouldn't kill him .."

Via knives? Via? Via knives! That right there is literary genius!

You people, even you S.S., don't seem to realize the rich majesty of this peice. It's literary genius. Not only do I have it saved, I've submitted it to several Editors with absolute rave reviews!

Darth SS 03-23-2004 10:00 PM

Someone shut him up before I do.

And my original question still has to be answered.

Demon with a Glass Hand 03-23-2004 10:02 PM

Fine. I'll stop teasing you. I'll just tease someone else. Like IHMN.

Coming from a grown man teasing male high school students to get attention...

Krylo 03-23-2004 10:05 PM

Hey, picking on kids is fun, kiddo.

And, on that note... are Demon and I the only two here that are out of highschool?

Demon with a Glass Hand 03-23-2004 10:07 PM

Can't be. Dante is out too, isn't he?

And Zero, you're in College aren't you?

And is Twenty One actually considered a 'Grown Man' age???

IHateMakingNames 03-23-2004 10:09 PM

I thought you were older then 21, possibly around 24 (Never checked if you have your birthday in your profile or not)

Krylo 03-23-2004 10:10 PM

Quote:

And is Twenty One actually considered a 'Grown Man' age???
Only when you're a teenager in highschool.

Also... I thought I'd heard FZ talking about getting into college... although you're right about Dante. He's out. I just momentarily forgot about him because he's always off with the mosquitos in the jungles... making freakish half-man, half-giant insect off spring, due to his inability to bone the female medics.

Forever Zero 03-23-2004 10:11 PM

Dante, Demon, krylo, and JADGuy are all out of highschool (I believe.).

I am in my senior year of Highschool. It is Hell. I await the day I can escape it and get into college. Me getting into college is a long subject I don't want to get into...

Quote:

That is wrong on so many levels...

Truce 03-23-2004 10:12 PM

Krylo - Answering your question about if you and Demon are the only ones who are out of highschool, no. Dante's not, and I'm pretty sure Ren isn't either. However, excluding them, and including only the roleplayers, probably.

FZ - Sorry I haven't been around. For some reason I'm a lot busier than I had thought I would be. (Translation: I spend more time sleeping now, heh)

Squishy Cheeks 03-23-2004 10:13 PM

Any gains on my cult research?

Demon with a Glass Hand 03-23-2004 10:13 PM

Twenty Two this year.

Dante should be back soon, too. He's only going to be making insect love children until the 29th or so ...

Hmm. A new Cthulhu threat ... Attack of the Insectoid Love Children!

Krylo 03-23-2004 10:13 PM

Ren's in her senior year of highschool...

Edit: Sounds like we've got our second mission!

Also... Demon's about the same age as me. I too will be 22 this year. Damn... I can't call everybody "Damn kids" anymore...

Forever Zero 03-23-2004 10:17 PM

Ecurt - No problem. You checked in at one point, so I know you were interested. Spirit hasn't in a long time though, and he may be out soon.

Jad - That was that pseudo-Mythos we were talking about earlier, so no, no Mythos points yet. You will get some soon however...

Demon - That's... Um... Ew...

And a sanity update.

J Man 03-23-2004 10:19 PM

You lowered my total sanity! SON OF A-!!!

Forever Zero 03-23-2004 10:21 PM

It will happen to everyone eventually. First time you truly encounter a Mythos Beast, you immediatly gain 5% Mythos, and lose the corresponding number of Sanity. It only happens once though. from now on, you can only Perma-Lose Sanity when you read Mythos books, or see special Mythos signs.

J Man 03-23-2004 10:24 PM

Alrighty then. So um, let's see, how are we going to contact eachother to get day two running?

IHateMakingNames 03-23-2004 10:25 PM

We call each other/happen to be staying at the same hotel (Besides krylo and people who live in Boston)?

Edit - Since alcohol is illegal (I think), what places are opened at night exactly?

Demon with a Glass Hand 03-23-2004 10:28 PM

Or we all return to Arkham Library?

I amended some inconsistencies in my last post, Zero. Bringing them to your attention.

Krylo 03-23-2004 10:29 PM

Well my character and Sith's could have arranged a meeting for the next day seeming as they both wanted to go look at that house... and have been working together so far... so if everyone else happened to be staying at the same hotel, they could set it up with Alan (sith's character), and he could get Frankie (mine).

Squishy Cheeks 03-23-2004 10:31 PM

Speakeasies?

Forever Zero 03-23-2004 10:31 PM

krylo's idea sounds easily workable. We might go with that. If there aren't any objections, I'll officially start Day 2.

EDIT: How did I miss that... IHMN and Celes, you would need to go to an illegal Speakeasy to get a "drink"... Unless you go to some little cafe type thing...

Demon with a Glass Hand 03-23-2004 10:31 PM

Yes ... but I still have the key. And the Deed. So anyone going to the house would need to find me first ... Unless they broke in.

Forever Zero 03-23-2004 10:33 PM

You didn't lock the door on your way out...... And don't try to edit it now, it's not a big deal anyway. J Man at least knows how to get there, so the others would be fine.

Krylo 03-23-2004 10:33 PM

I'm thinking Frankie and Sith would probably decide to meet at the library... after all they found out about that Mu thing too, and it's the only place they both know that the other can find (other than the hospital)... and might use that and the gold box to get the mythos book thingie from professor snootybottom or whatever. Whether they do that before or after going to the house with everyone else is up in the air.

Edit: Other than IHMN being a cop, it'd be really easy for them to find a speakeasy. It would be like a teenager today trying to score pot...

J Man 03-23-2004 10:33 PM

But did you lock the door to the house?

IHateMakingNames 03-23-2004 10:33 PM

Eh, I doubt my cop would go do illegal things (Though I bet many did drink back then), so just say that they went somce place, then went to the hotel (We all are staying in the same hotel right?).

Demon with a Glass Hand 03-23-2004 10:34 PM

Already did. Before I read your post. Sorry.

edit- Refering to Zero, of course.

Forever Zero 03-23-2004 10:35 PM

Alright, I'm goning to post with krylo's plan for Day 2. You can discuss game plan in the RP or here.

Krylo 03-23-2004 10:36 PM

You're going with my plan because I rock. Just admit it.

Also, you could easily rationalize it by that hotel being the closest to the hospital... thus it's only natural that they'd all try to get rooms there.

IHateMakingNames 03-23-2004 10:37 PM

Technically the main part of the plan is mine, seeing as I said it first. You just added in how your guy would be involved, as well as a reason for us all being at that one hotel.

J Man 03-23-2004 10:37 PM

Well, I guess we're all staying at the same hotel then, even though my character has a house.

IHateMakingNames 03-23-2004 10:38 PM

A house in Boston/near Boston? If so, then I guess your going to think up a way to met us all yourself.

J Man 03-23-2004 10:42 PM

Well, he's staying at the hotel anyway.

Forever Zero 03-23-2004 10:43 PM

J Man, is the "Jeez", already in how fast I advanced the RP? Well, I am taking into account, everyone is either in bed, or on their way to bed, so there wasn't anymore to post on that. It just needed the jump to keep it flowing.

Squishy Cheeks 03-23-2004 10:44 PM

I think I'll edit my post

Squishy Cheeks 03-23-2004 10:52 PM

How's my history roll on the middle kingdom thing?

Forever Zero 03-23-2004 10:55 PM

You won't recognize any more then has already been said. The history roll was to recognize Middle Kingdom in the first place. All the important info has been given. Thus, the History roll turns up nothing new.

IHateMakingNames 03-23-2004 10:57 PM

What murder is being brought up exactly? I don't remember anyone being murdered...

Squishy Cheeks 03-23-2004 10:58 PM

I'm going to sing the Hastur doom song.
Ohh Hastur! Hastur Hastur Hastur Hastur Hastur Hastur HasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHa sturHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHast urHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHastur HasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHa sturHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHast urHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHasturHastur HasturHasturHastur Hastur Hastur.

Forever Zero 03-23-2004 11:00 PM

There was a quick mention of the murder of Marion Allen. It isn't hugely important, but I can give the full details. Just assume IHMN reads this to everyone.

A Mr. Marion Allen was murdered today (This was 30 years ago, not literally today) at the docks. According to police, it was a robbery gone wrong. Mr. Allen's last known contact was with the police that same day. He calimed that some strange men were after him, and wanted a box and a piece of amber he didn't have anymore. The police thought he was mildly mad, and tunred him out. They are now looking very closely into the case to see what may have happened, and who these "Mysterious" figures were tailing Mr. Allen.

EDIT: Jad's insides turn to liquid, then he explodes. Hastur pops up and devours the messy remains, then leaves.

J Man 03-23-2004 11:03 PM

Uhh, FZ, I kinda forgot if I saw it directly. Did I?

Krylo 03-23-2004 11:04 PM

I think the monster is invisible... that's what it seemed like after reading everything on it so far. Had to throw stuff on it for the people summoning it to see it... and there was no mention of the sight of it, just feeling it woosh past you, etc.

Forever Zero 03-23-2004 11:05 PM

No, the monster is invisable. You felt it in a way, and you can hear it, but it can't be seen by the naked eye.

Forever Zero 03-23-2004 11:18 PM

So you have all basically agreed to go to the house now?

IHateMakingNames 03-23-2004 11:19 PM

Demon is thinking of going to the old mans house, and wants the detective to go with him, while the detective was going to go to the house.

Forever Zero 03-23-2004 11:21 PM

Is that the only debate left? Work it out in the RP. My recomendation is the house... In game, just call me a hunch...

IHateMakingNames 03-23-2004 11:28 PM

Well, my guy is going to the house. Should I say he gives Celes' character a ride so shes with everyone else, and then two other people as well (Probably krylo and sith)?

Krylo 03-23-2004 11:30 PM

I don't care who I ride with, could be you or Jim. Either or... Lazy is going with Jim though, I believe.

Forever Zero 03-23-2004 11:32 PM

It will all work out. There will be cabs for anyone that doesn't have a ride. And quick question, does anyone plan on stopping in town? Or just go straight to the house? Doesn't matter either way, house is easier.

IHateMakingNames 03-23-2004 11:40 PM

New RP thread and new discussion thread?

Edit - And in no post in the RP thread is the door relocked...

Edit 2 - Want to add something about David taking the journal back from Gab before leaving?

Forever Zero 03-23-2004 11:47 PM

http://www.nuklearforums.com/showpo...8&postcount=82

And sure, say he accidently left it on the table, and you grabbed it as you left...

Krylo 03-23-2004 11:49 PM

You told him not to edit that. The bastard! Anyway... if Jim can't kick it open, Frankie's just gonna shoot the lock... seeming as Tor isn't actually here to pick it.

IHateMakingNames 03-23-2004 11:50 PM

Puh, it was editted after you mentioned it...

Forever Zero 03-23-2004 11:50 PM

Answer given, but I'm going to bed before you can learn more about the Back Door. I'm slowly intruding more, so a good nights rest will set me back on track.

And JADGuy, what is Father William doing if he isn't with the others?

J Maaaaan, this is your spirit adviserrrrrr... You can call me Cthulhuuuuuu, muahahahahaaaaaaa...

Just kidding, just moving the plot along without you guys demolishing the front door.

Squishy Cheeks 03-23-2004 11:53 PM

He's looking for the mystery of the worm.

Forever Zero 03-23-2004 11:55 PM

... What? It really is late, my brain is failing on me. What is the "Mystery of the Worm"?

Squishy Cheeks 03-23-2004 11:56 PM

De Vermis Mysteriis = The mysteries of the worm in latin.

Krylo 03-23-2004 11:57 PM

Wouldn't that put him with Neil... seeming as FZ mentioned that the one professor guy has it, and that's part of what Neil would probably do with the gold thing trying to find out about Mu?

Forever Zero 03-23-2004 11:57 PM

Ahh, I didn't actually translate it. I will cover that tomarrow, along with what all the others are doing.

Sithdarth 03-23-2004 11:59 PM

I'm in trouble now. It seems that at least one person here might actually know the stupidity of my sig.

JAD, go, go, translate his sig!

Forever Zero 03-24-2004 12:00 AM

If I wanted, I have a program to translate Latin. I just never bothered to, in regards to both your sig, and the title of the book.

Squishy Cheeks 03-24-2004 12:02 AM

Da mihi sis cervisium dilutum.

Carpe praeda et irrumare id.

Sithdarth 03-24-2004 12:03 AM

You will be disapointed. I just thought it was funny at the time and the fact that no one actually knows what it says, most of the time, makes it a nice inside joke for me.

Edit: Oh i cant really translate latin, yet. I just found it while doing a web search and thought it was funny.

IHateMakingNames 03-24-2004 12:06 AM

A literal translation is messy, but it sounds like "How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck would? (Then something about Latin words...)"

Squishy Cheeks 03-24-2004 12:08 AM

Cupio irrumariste et coitus, nunc.

Forever Zero 03-24-2004 12:08 AM

I can't translate most of what JADGuy said however... All I got was, "You may be" in the first line, and the words, "Plunder and" in the second line... This translater is crap...

Sithdarth 03-24-2004 12:09 AM

Translated into good english it says:

How much wood could a wood chuck chuck. Everything said in latin sounds profound.

You should also know what it says under my name which isn't so funny but is how I think of myself.

IHateMakingNames 03-24-2004 12:11 AM

Jad's first to words are "Give me", but then the next two words aren't registered as latin..

Second sentence is about gay oral sex.

Squishy Cheeks 03-24-2004 12:11 AM

translations of mine

I'll have a light beer.

Seize the booty, and lick the p****

Irrumare just means to penetrate orally, it is not hole specific.

Forever Zero 03-24-2004 12:12 AM

The second thing he says has "Desire" and "now" in it, but other then that I'm stumped.

Now I'm sort of glad I missed the translation...

Squishy Cheeks 03-24-2004 12:13 AM

you don't want to know.

Forever Zero 03-24-2004 12:15 AM

Good to know that our Latin Translation Specialist's main skill is saying things in Latin he really shouldn't say in English... or ever in any langauge...

Krylo 03-24-2004 12:15 AM

Noli admirari quare tibi femina nulla,
FZ, velit tenerum supposuisse femer,
non si illam rarae labefactes munere vestis
aut perluciduli deliciis lapidis.
laedit te quaedam mala fabula, qua tibi fertur
valle sub alarum trux habitare caper.
hunc metuunt omnes; neque mirum: nam mala valdest
bestia, nec quicum bella puella cubet.
quare aut crudelem nasorum interfice pestem,
aut admirari desine cur fugiant

Squishy Cheeks 03-24-2004 12:19 AM

Here's one to use when someone pisses you off. phallum equum fellatias

Forever Zero 03-24-2004 12:21 AM

I can guess what JAD just said from the first word at least, but I have no clue what krylo said, other then that it includes me.

Krylo 03-24-2004 12:23 AM

Wonder not, FZ, why none of the opposite sex
wishes to place her dainty thighs beneath you,
not even if you undermine her virtue with gifts of choice
silk or the enticement of a pellucid gem.
You are being hurt by an ugly rumour which asserts
that beneath your armpits dwells a ferocious goat.
This they fear, and no wonder; for it's a right rank
beast that no pretty girl will go to bed with.
So either get rid of this painful affront to the nostrils
or cease to wonder why the ladies flee.

It's actually an alteration to a real roman insult poem about a guy named Rufus... I just replaced Rufae with FZ...

Forever Zero 03-24-2004 12:25 AM

Hmm, thanks for that. I think I preferred it when I couldn't understand it... Now I need to find that blasted book of Latin quotes so I can come up with something biting in return...

Oh, and I will make up two new threads for tomarrow.
