What is his latent obsession with dicks? I mean, that and the dick-nipples thing, etc. *shudder*

The comics have been declining in quality for a while now, and they don't come out often enough to justify the quality they are at the moment. I'll probably quit reading.

It's caught itself but that doesn't mean much.

I remember a time when every new VG Cats was hilarious, but I can't say if the comic or my taste has changed.

I think it's partially the dud quotient's sharply risen and the fact the updates have gotten so sporadic, which emphasises it more.

It's a pity, I thought he'd started to turn it around after good stuff like that 100 Kirbys sheet. But no, looks like its dropping back into crap.

Oh, and with such a slow update schedule, why on earth can't he keep his archive up to date?

His hobby became his job and thus he developed a distaste for it?

well, you know, he cant really use that one as an excuse... because he uses his webcomic as Work pretty clearly. The overall quality is way way down now.And it's a shame really because i like Vg Cats. It's like seeing a new season of your favourite show full of Re-usage of plots, and really bad writing

I don't know if it's really fair to say he's circling the drain NOW. I mean, like three weeks ago, sure, buuuut:

http://www.vgcats.com/comics/images/080225.jpg Wasn't great, but it certainly wasn't bloated like everyone was complaining about before... and can still elicit chuckles despite how terribly sonic is drawn.

And of course the one hundred Kirby ones was cute, if kinda fillerish.

And even the last two aren't as bad as say... the SSBB or bear lawyer ones. It seems he's on an upswing, but you can't expect him to go from shit to super awesome in one day. It's gonna be a climb with a couple of stumbles.

Or maybe the last few weeks have just been an odd blip on the radar and he's heading back to shitsville. Whatever.

Honestly, I think the biggest problem is how long he takes to update. If you have to actually wait all the time it takes for a new one to go up, you can't help but be disappointed by the quality. Whereas, if you were to travel a year into the future and read through the previous year's archives, it probably wouldn't seem nearly so bad.

I guess what I'm saying is that VG Cats currently works for a very specific audience.

what i think is really his problem is that the long awaits are finished with unpolished work... often said by himself on his news posts "did this on a rush" "wanst like i wanted" "it's liek filler" and so on...

Is like he is doing an effort to keep up while looking for a reason to not stop

I don't even understand his last comic.

I literally just stopped and stared at it for like 5 minutes after seeing it in sheer "Okay what the hell is this"ness.

I mean I kind of get the Wii's multiplayer joke and hurhur Xbox players are extreme idiots or something and PS3 and yiffing, etc, whatever, but it's still such an absolutely loving retarded comic that I just don't know what to do.

the last webcomic is a "joke too late" actually... and is a re-used, he already did strips about how "ha ha" online services are on all 3 consoles
