Easter Rumble
Seeing I just realised "Holy crap, Easter is coming up!", I jumped in and asked if it would be alright to run a themed Rumble.
Obviously enough, the theme to follow is Easter. Eggs and bunnies and Jesus, yay! On the power side, I'll be rejecting any powers that will just be too much of a hassle to keep track of, seeing that Wise Men debacle. Also, I'll be rewriting powers to give a degree of standardisation, to make everything a bit more coherent. If your power's meant to have some unusual quirk to it, please point it out to me so I can be sure it's preserved. There may be penalties for lack of activity during the game. I'm still finalising them. Overview of Rumble rules Inbred Chocobo's Rumble Guide Sign-ups will last until they are closed. Current sign-ups: 1. Silly Kitty 2. bananarama 3. Telephalsion 4. Inbred Chocobo 5. Moogle0119 6. Cati 7. B_real_shadows 8. The Wizard Who Did It Powers List Cursed Blade of Equinox: The Cursed Blade of Equinox grants attacks made by the wielder a boost equivalent to the difference between the attackers health, and the targets health. But it also causes 10 damage to the wielder for every separate attack made. Examples: If the attacker has 20 health and defends for 10 and attacks for 10, and his target 70 health, then the attack will do 50 damage, and the attacker will take 10 damage, which will be defended away. If the wielder has 90 health and uses 45 to attack an opponent with 60 health, another with 50 health for 45 aswell, then the attack will do 75 points of damage to the first one, 85 points of damage to the second, and 20 damage to the wielder. Flames of Easter: Burn 20 - This purging fire will harm any player which used a chocolate-related power that round for 20 points of unblockable damage. All the players which have avoided the temptations of cocoa gain 10 health. The Flames cover the entire battlefield and will affect the user aswell. Basket Theft: Burn 25, target player loses half their powers (Rounded down) chosen randomly, and you gain those powers. This can only be used once, and must be used round one. Egg of Repulsion: If two or more actions are made against you, one is randomly selected and reflected back to the owner. This can force powers that can't normally target the owner target the owner. Many Angry Bunnies: Once a man was very unwise. The bunnies do not forget. They are without number and they are angry. All players gain this power except for the three highest bidders. You have an Angry Bunny sidekick with 5 energy. Each turn it does nothing but attack you. Hurting them only makes them angrier, instead increasing their energy by that ammount. Healing calms them down, decreasing their energy by twice the ammount it would heal. If an Angry Bunny's energy becomes 100 or higher, it explodes. If you kill an angry bunny, a new one will appear to torment you. Holy Fire: You have 33 candles that can be thrown at others for 5 damage. You may throw multiple candles per turn, but can only target an individual once per turn. Multiply Like Rabbits: Owner gets two bunny allies with 30 energy each. On each turn, the owner can make each individual bunny do one of the following: 1. Breed: Requires two bunnies both set to do this action, owner gets another bunny ally with 20 energy that can begin to be used next round. Burns up 10 energy from each bunny involved. 2. Defend: Bunny ally can be set to defend owner at however much energy the owner chooses 3. Attack: Bunny ally can be set to attack another player at however much energy the owner chooses. 4. Nothing: The bunny does nothing for the round and recovers 5 energy. Chocolate Bunny: Spend 10, Gain 50 energy. This power can only be used once, and cannot put you above your starting energy total. Egg of Surprise: Anyone who bids 5 energy on this power gains it. When you gain this power, one of the events is chosen randomly and immediately occurs. 1) Gain 10 energy 2) A number 1-6 is picked. On that number round nullify all your actions, your powers are also disabled for that round. 3) You gain a random power 4) You lose a random power (Besides this one) 5) Your first attack is doubled 6) Lose 10 energy 7) You double your defense on the first round. 8) A number 1-6 is picked. On that number round, if you can kill someone without any help, you gain 20 energy. If you cannot, you lose 20 energy. 9) You lose the ability to defend 10) You gain every power in the game. (You cannot have multiple copies of powers.) However your energy total is divided by 10. I has a bunny: At the beginning of the game, you get a Bunny Sidekick with 40 energy. It can be sacrificed to give you 20 energy (You must decide to sacrifice it as part of your actions). Peeps!: Spend 5, you eat a Peep and gain +5 attack or +5 defense randomly. The bonus lasts until the end of the next round and you can use this power once per round. Paint it Black: You hand out a darkly painted easter egg to a chosen person, this person is overcome with bad luck. Spend 10 energy and the defence of target person other than yourself is decreased by 20 for this turn. Bunny Costume: You dress up as the Easter Bunny in an attempt to seem innocent to the younger ones. By burning 10 energy you can avoid all attacks sent in against you from other people who have less energy than you for one turn. Resurrection: Once dead, you can resurrect once in the game with 50 energy. You must resurrect within 2 rounds. Smingus Dingus: Spend 4 energy per person remaining. Spray everyone with water. The combined effect decreases everyones individual attack(s) by 4 and increases your total defense by 4 for everyone who is affected effected (less 1). Example for Smingus Dingus: 3 people left in game (Moogle, Cati and Me). You use this ability and spend 8 total (because theres 2 people who aren't me left in the game). If Moogle attacks Cati for 10 and me for 20, his attacks then become 6 and 16. And if Cati attacks Me for 30 her attack becomes 26. And if I had placed 40 defense, my defense increase by 8 (4 for Moogle and 4 for Cati) to 48. My offense is not affected by this. |
Why can't I stop joining these? :(... In...
|
I'm in too
|
Hmm, I'm wondering if people would prefer me to put up powers as I receive them, or wait until the end and put it all up at once?
|
I prefer seeing all the powers at the end since people won't be able to make powers that complement others and then try and gain them both and have some ZOMGAWESOME combo (not that that has happened in the last game... it's just something to be taken into consideration).
|
I'm indifferent to seeing powers, It'd be nice to see them though, just to avoid the most likely outcome of twenty Jesus- or Easter Bunny-Related powers. But then, you can't have too much Bunny, can you?
|
Hmm, we're going to need at least three more people to get a decent sized game.
Also, I've only gotten power submissions by two people. We'll be starting in a few days, otherwise we'll be too late for the theme. The horror! |
Against my better judgment, :D, I'll join in. I don't completely understand the game, but hopefully things will start making more sense to me when things are up and running. Hopefully.
It might be nice if you posted the names of powers (and not the full description) so we know whether or not we're all making powers on the same topic. But otherwise, it doesn't matter to me if they are up ahead of time. |
Hmm, that names idea is a good one. Done.
EDIT: Hmmm, we really need a few more sign-ups. Still missing some submissions of powers too. |
I think your lack of sign ups will be solved when SK's rumble ends in a few days.
