The 1,000th Comic Strip - The End of 8-Bit Theater?
It's just pure speculation on my part and certainly nothing has been said from Brian. But if you think about it, given the point in the story, the Light Warriors now have the final orb. It's basically down to their own eventual twisted version of a showdown with Chaos. Thirty strips can be more than enough to wrap things up. Who knows, it would definitely be the ideal milestone and place to bring the story to its inevitable conclusion.
Anyway, it's all just speculation and foresight. So I wonder just how would it all end? 8-Bit Theater has certainly come a long way. It was the only other comic other than Bob and George that I followed on a regular basis. Who else here thinks that Brian might end the comic at 1,000? Not saying he should, but like most things, they must eventually come to an end... |

Maybe is king steeve... 1000 would be a nice place for a King Steve comic!

Episode 1000 will be like any other comic. Nothing special is planned for it. I have no idea when the comic will end, but we're getting there.

what he could do to drive us all crazy is make it, but break all the links to it. So when you go foward from 999 it just takes you back to the main page. If you try to get it through archives it takes you to a random page on the site. Clicking on it from the main page should take you to comic 1.

I really don't get why 8-Bit has to end on it's 1000th comic, Bob and George ended on it's 2658th comic.

Sluggy Freelance is on over 3600 comics and still not ended. What's your point Chocobo?

I think his point is that there is nothing so special about then number 1000 that it dictates ending the greatest webcomic that I can be bothered to read each week just to commemorate it.

Theif comes and steals theif's class change and ninja clothes... He had to steal them from some time!
