So IHMN went from a Cop to a Criminal? Interesting.

It's 60 now.

He is not dieing any time soon.

Can this guy already be a vet in monster hunting?

Forever Zero 03-25-2004 04:23 PM

Wow, a 98% dodge... You are going to fricken dodge everything... Just watch out for those magic spells that don't rely on hit rolls...

And no, he can be some sort of big game hunter, but he gets the honor of being another new guy who gets involved somehow, just like any other new people made will be. Maybe the team could start an official investigation group to cover their monster hunting, and he could try to join.

EDIT: You also need to watch out for multi attack monsters. You can only dodge once per round, so if the enemy gets two attack successes, you going to get hit once at least.

IHateMakingNames 03-25-2004 04:26 PM

Magic is what the 18 Magic Points are for.

Edit - You can't dodge twice? If something can attack twice, why can't you dodge twice?

Forever Zero 03-25-2004 04:29 PM

That will help, but you won't be able to resist forever. Magical monsters, powerful cultists, and Gods have a LOT of MP. As in upwards of 20, and in the case of Gods it is usually closer to 50. So you won't be invincible, but you will be hard to kill.

Cause you dodge by say leaping away, or falling back. It is hard to dodge once you are in the middle of one dodge already. I will double check the rules, but I think you can only dodge once per round. It is a concentrated action, and takes up a whole round to do.

EDIT: "If an attack can be seen, a defender may try to dodge it. Against guns, only the first bullet may be dodged."

I was getting my rules mixed up, so you can dodge lots of melee attacks if you can see it (Still wouldn't save you here, you can't "see" the Lurker), but you can only dodge one bullet at a time no matter how many there are coming at you, and you can't dodge an ambush.

I'm some what glad that David died. Dave (The name I have decided for this guy) is much better.

What if you're blind? Then could you dodge things you can't see?

Forever Zero 03-25-2004 04:42 PM

No. If your blind, you are throughly screwed. You don't need to worry about seeing monsters and horrible scenes, but you can't dodge making you easy prey.

Krylo 03-25-2004 04:43 PM

Damn... I was going to suggest that Dave trip and fall on a pair of short yet sharp rocks exactly in the right space to take out both of his eyes, thus making him able to dodge anything. Other than multiple bullets in a round.

Forever Zero 03-25-2004 04:44 PM

IHMN's char falling on sharp rocks from that one old RP is the new running gag, isn't it?
