Only one more year of childhood... oh well, like I say "Growing old is manditory, growing up is optional." |
Well now it looks like Alan is going to have to sleep with one eye open. Seeing as leting him live would break the kill the scientist rule.
15 and 17 feel lucky. I turn 20 in June. |
Why the hell would anyone keep their head in a hole when there is a pile of bones there?
Edit - Problem with stats, it ignores common sense (Ducking instead of looking). Edit 2 - Stupid worthless 90 luck... Edit 3 - Note that I was expecting death, but an instant death, not "I shall go take a quick glance. Hm? What are those bones doing up here? I shall look at them for a while and inspect them, not caring at all that there is a large pile of bones here in the 'haunted house'." Edit 4 - Since you all stayed up late and even adding some common sense to my guy is to late, I am coming back as either a David clone, or a thief. Oh, and the journal is now gone, seeing as it was in a pocket in his coat near his heart. Also the better of the two guns is gone to. Edit 5 - And his keys (Car) are gone as well. If I'm going down, I'm taking some one else with me. |
He didn't just stare at the bones. That all happened in about two seconds, game time. He popped up, saw the bones, then the beast was on him before he could think. The long description and conclusions were all come up with instantly and were there for reader info, not as his actual thought process.
Luck doesn't have to do with anything. Is the monster there? Luck roll. Can you dodge the monster in time? Has nothing to do with luck, purely a dodge roll. You can come back as a David clone. In fact, I can keep his sheet and you can be his twin or something in the next mission, come to avenge your brother's death. And you are just doing that to be spiteful. They don't need the journel anymore anyway. All they need is the papers, to translate the Latin, and the gold box, and they can complete the ceremony. And no, you can't take the papers or the gold box with you since you carried neither, and you are quite dead, so no coming back and taking the papers or box away. |
Duh I am being spiteful. I want someone else dead, preferably Demon or kyrlo.
Edit - Why would readers need to know about all that? Not like any of the investigators will be looking up there any time soon. It should all be a mystery to them. |
That may happen before the end of the mission...

David's dead body could have landed on the gold box/papers.
And I thought luck was everything... Monster attacks, do a luck roll to see if it has to sneeze or something and mess up, then a luck roll to see if David trips and fall before getting hit. Luck can do anything. |

And why do you want ME dead... I understand Demon... but what'd I do? |
Because I missed your post saying that you were going into the attic (Long before we even went near the attic), and the post saying FZ saying that you were going first due to some rolls.
Edit - I also want Tor dead, seeing as his guy just shrugged off a monster and a destroyed body of a man he was just talking to so he could light up a cigarrete. |
I think we all know why he wants Demon dead... And in case you couldn't guess it from what just happened, the monster only eats hearts. Thus the neat hole devouring David's heart. It might throw the body back at you.
And the Gold Box isn't even at the house, and the papers are on Sith or krylo I think. And you landed on the floor. And if it worked like that, just max out luck and everone is invincible to everything. Luck only works when it seems nothing else fits, like if they arrive in time to see a suspect, or if there is a random chance the monster shows up. In concrete dictated rolls, Luck doesn't factor in. About Tor... Seriously, what is with that? He shrugged off a teammate being messily devoured and killed before his eyes? Luckily he has a low Luck and a low Sanity... And Luck DOES deterimine who monsters like to attack first... |
