The chanter continue their chant...
12:45 PM The first warning is an odd smell. As time passes, the smell seems to be intensifying. A nauseating smell like a cess pit and an open grave floods the room, horrible beyond recognition. The smell is almost enough alone to make you want to flee the room, and a few of the chanters cough and hack, but once again their numbers and the fact that some are holding out saves you. The chant continues as the pungent odor continues to fill the room. |
Neil pulled his .45 free, and checked it. Perfectly clean, full clip, (I think I have three) three back up clips, each holding 12 shots.
He glanced around the room nervously, but then pulled a spare bullet out, put it in the chamber, racked the slide back, and removed the safety. Somehow, the weight of it in his hands reassured him. And to think, before this he thought D.A. proceedings were scary. |
Father William noticed a few of the chanters had stopped chanting. He was tempted to jump in.
"Keep going we're almost to the half way point." |

Just as William spoke, there was a plop right in front of him. He looked up, as did the others, to see some vile goo falling through cracks in the roof, and spreading across it. This goo seems to be the source of the stench. It is vile and disguting, an oily, thick black.
As the time passes, the goo falls faster, and there is more of it. Many are afraid to touch it, but it finally makes contact. There is a horrible hissing, and the effected person yells and smacks the glod off their arm. When they look at it, there is a nasty place where the acidic goo ate through both sleeve and skin and a nasty burnt spot is no on their arm. Everyone rebdoubles their efforts to dodge the goo, and while a few more people are hit, and the goo leaves a nasty, deep burn, many are able to dodge it. Soon the rain stops, and when everyone looks at the roof, the goo is drying up, as well as on the floor. The wounded do their best to protect their wounds with clothing or random cloth. The chanters continue their chant. 1:00 PM OOC: Check the update to see who got hit. |
To spite the demon and the wound it inflicted Father William joins the chant.
|
Neil had been lucky enough to avoid the falling slime.
OOC: I just noticed...I have the second lowest sanity...and I was trying to make my guy mage-capable. Wow....we're all doomed. |
Mike was lucky and hadn't gotten hit in any major places by that acidic slime. He continued chanting and wondered if it would ever stop.
|
Jim put an arm to the point where the goo dropped, hissing in pain, and then going directly back to the chant.

1:20 PM
After the gas and acid attack, the Lurker has been distrubingly quiet, with not a sound heard again. The watchers are getting restless and keeping a sharp eye out, and the Chanter's continue their endless chant. Everything has been too quiet for too long. OOC: Celes, if your going to the basement, go now. Next event is about to happen. |
