Because if it's wrong, I don't want to be right.

It's a different style of gameplay and one I'm prepared to acknowledge some people might be inclined to prefer.

Though if you were cool you'd like Soulblazer / Illusion of Gaia more than either of those.

Eh Secret of Mana kicks Soulblazer and Gaia's asses, SoM 3 is even better. Now Terranigma, that's what the cool kids liked. By cool kids I mean Europe and PAL, cause you guys never got it for some insane and beautiful reason.

Meh, Dragon Quest V kicks all those pretender's arses.

Odjn 04-13-2008 07:45 AM

Dragon Quest is over hyped.

Regulus Tera 04-13-2008 10:33 AM

You're overhyped.

Aside from the ending, Illusion of Gaia was one of the best games I've ever played. Also, having the same name as the purple fruitcup that gets eaten by a whale and goes all Obi-Wan Kenobi all over the place didn't help matters at all.

Sadly, I never found a playable copy of Soulblazer. I had to settle for just beating up on one of the bosses from it.

P.S. WTF happened to the wheel-menu system, and games like Illusion, Evermore, mana, trigger? I know it's a common rant, and the times and systems are different, but still. It wouldn't be that hard. Even Breath of Fire had one *decent* port to the Playstation. I miss my RPGs =(

Damn straight. Any game with the quote "My dear, you're leaking! ...Mmm Salty." Is a winner in my books.

Also, Chrono Trigger is awesome. It's what taught me how to draw. (or at least started the process, with the super-awesome-never-before-seen-by-human-eyes Chrono Trigger comic I worked on. (ugh, it's hideous (the only one that is good is the last picture, and that's because I used a reference ^^; ))

The only bad thing about Chrono Trigger is that when I bought it, I had to chose between it and Earthbound, which made me lose my chance to buy Earthbound for <$10. (although I did get Chrono Trigger for $6, which is a nice deal.)

I agree, that ending was kind of fuckin' retarded.

I want to see more of that.

That said, I find you being a Dalton fangirl being somewhat disturbing. Weird.
