Pathetically Easy (End) Bosses

So, any takers? Any system. Go on, you know you want to.
And I don't mean like "Whoever was really easy! I can't believe he couldn't stand up against my character. 60 levels over average is nothing!"
I mean like for instance...Bowser on Super Mario Sunshine. Have I just played games like that so much that I've become Godly powerful? Or is it just that he was insanely easy? I figure it's the latter, seeing as how I haven't even played that many 3D platformers.
Seriously, I died once and that was because I was too busy laughing at how easy he was and I jet-boosted myself off the edge. But other than that, I found it too easy to just...well, walk casually to each pretty much unguarded weak point and beat him. Bowser on SM64 was hard.

Other than that, I can't really think of any others right now. Well, apart from Ganon(dorf) on Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker and Majora's Mask on...well, Majora's Mask. But then, they weren't as pathetic.

Anyway, I've been doing too much talking. Please rant further on pathetic end bosses for my perverse amusement.

Possessed Arius and Arius-Argosax for Devil May Cry 2's Lucia. Both are ridiculously easy to kill (just throw your normal daggers at them until they die - it's THAT simple!) and are hardly as challenging as Dante's bosses (Argosax the Chaos and The Despair Embodied - Now those are hard...)

Some people may find Aumaan Anubis from ZOE2 to be easy, though my berserker strategy resulted in me taking a lot of hits, which may have altered my perspective on him.

Sin at the end of Final Fantasy 10. Killed him in one or two hits with Tidus' limit break being one of them. His only move was to cast Curaga on himself. It was pathetic.

FF 10 - Braska's Final Aeon. Not a final boss per se, but it's right before the final boss, and I beat him with 1 8K hp guy, a 5K hp guy, and Yuna. (Auron and Tidus were the other 2.) Auron and Tidus just quick hit him, and when the Aeon was about to limit break, I'd summon an Aeon to take the hit...it was pathetic.

No, no, no.... Yevon at the end of FFX. All you had to do was just send your Aeon out for him to possess, use one good Holy Spell, then on to the next. After all the Aeons, it was just pounding away with Flare and Holy with Lulu and Yuna respectively. (or if you were like my fiancee, they had BOTH spells, and only had to use one MP to cast them. Damn him and his stupid weapon making e.e; ) Besides the fact that it was extremely easy, you couldn't even DIE! I mean come on, how easy does it get? e.e;

definitely dark cloud from FF III. all he was able to do was take off 1500 HP a turn from my 2000 HP characters that could only heal 1000 hp per turn

1. I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the last boss of Mystic Quest yet.
2. Andross in SF64
3. Gannondorf in Ocarina of Time. Come ON. It's just a 3-D game of Pong/Catch!
4. Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid
5. The Final Reincarnation of William, Resident Evil 2
6. Angel-like Cheryl, Silent Hill
7. One Winged Angel Sephiroth (Just hit him with KoTR once or twice)

I'll edit this post when I think of more.

Definitely the end boss in Silent Hill 2 (name being withheld so as not to spoil it). You just kinda stand there and shoot, it just kind of hovered there the whole time.

End boss of Tekken 3. I don't know what its name was or whatever, but all I know is that I beat the entire game in Blockbuster waiting for my sister to choose a stupid movie.

probiscus 11-22-2003 02:25 PM

As much as he is the man, Kefka from FF6. I think it was 4 Ultmas and he was dead. Something like that.

But still best game ever.

Final Fantasy God 11-22-2003 03:19 PM

LOL, I think the easiest end boss I ever fought was Lavos from Chrono Trigger, I had completed the various side quests and had the best weapons/armor and he only took a couple of hits........Wanna make a game really fuggin easy, Play either Chrono Cross or Chrono Trigger all the way through and you get to re-play the game with all your levels and weapons.
