#981: "Yo."

Well, Drizz'l's had enough of this crap. Time to get serious. For really real this time.

Of all the Dark Warrior's Drizz'l has always confused me the most. When we first meet him, he seems like an overconfident poser. He eventually devolves into a bitter elven pessimist.

My only guess as to the change, was that one of the spiders had psychotropic venom, and it bit him before we met him. Either that, or it was like licking toads, and he intentionally took the venom into his system.

As far Drizz'l evil plans go, I won't believe anything until I see that he's acquired some new swords for himself. Otherwise, he's just making pathetic prostrations like he usually does.

The sample word problem's faithfulness to typical word problems definitely amused me.

So, and I'm just asking our of curiosity here, does Drizz'l have swords or not? First he does, then he doesn't, then he does, then he doesn't. I know jokes are more important than plot, but just so I'm straight, he...doesn't have them at the moment, yes?

Also: Dark Warriors kick ass. I can never get enough of them.

maybe it was only an imaginary sword!

Do note that the sword in the third comic is different from the ones that he originally had. It's not nearly as stabby or slashy as his first ones.

So, no real plot hole. Easily explained by Fighter taking his favorite swords or something.

It seems Garland is back to his original colors, no doubt in a few days Brian will change the last comic and say it was always like that... Just like with Thief... ;)

If Drizz'l got his hands on the Excalibur... the light warriors would be toast. Period.

Nah, probably not. It was probably just a mistake, like the gray background in this episode.

Or maybe he lost it in the shipwreck or something.

Well, from the look of the new sword, I'd put it as a rapier. It's a thin blade, with a cross-shaped silhouette, and possibly a ring, as rapiers are meant for trapping. Assuming it is, it's not meant as a primary blade, probably is better-suited for stabbing than slashing, and is, as far as we've seen, his sole current weapon, and one that handles differently than his previous two. He's only on par with Fighter when both are using two swords. In a match between a rapier and double sword-chucks, Fighter would end it in less than two seconds.
