In other words the best damn spider-man show to date.
I'm ashamed of all of you people, the fact that nothing has been said about this(so far at least) spectacular(deal with it) show is a sin, and an insult to the very premise of these forums, you're all losing geek points for this one, especially you Fifth..

Basically, it's an animated version of Ultimate Spider-man, art is on point, action is wonderful, (He actually punches people in this one) teen angst is actually tasteful and well done. Power vs responsibility is well played. everything is great. watch. this .show.

First off I am the biggest DOC OCK fan ever the reason i didn't bring this up IS i thought THE tentacles looked like SHIT. second off the artist was the same one who did "The batman" show which although was new...sucked the last thing we need is a spider-man show like that. REALLY for posting this it makes you lose geek points

Marvel's repeated and increasingly shitty desecrations of Spider-Man have finally killed whatever affection I have for the character. I mean it's possible whichever one you're talking about doesn't come with all the lamesauce bullshit heaped upon him in every single other version in every single published media but man, I just can't make myself care enough to bother finding out.

Seconded. The Marvel Universe's biggest goddamn Deus ex Machinae has pretty much got me tapped out for anything Spider-Man related right now.

That would be saying more if the bar hadn't been set so low by previous offerings. But then, I may have missed a few because I agree that:

Ultimate Spider Man started out pretty strong. The first couple of Doc Ock battles were neat and alright, I didn't get too far in however.

Actually I think this is a different artist, the style looks similar, though.
The writer on the other hand, wrote Gargoyles,
no, Gwen(replace ultimate mary jane with Gwen stacey,Same thing, geeky female friend,Mary Jane seems to act like 616 mary jane or ultimate Gwen Stacy) is there, but he wins his fights on his own, his family and friends are rarely in the middle of the fights, except for eddie brock, who's a really nice guy right now. In the third episode, he fought the lizard, broke his hand(or just fucked it up real bad it seems) while doing it, webbed the hand up, and proceeded to fight the rest of the episode with the broken hand.

The nineties cartoon was pretty good, despite crazy censorship and over dramatic plot, it was a milestone in the nineties era of serious cartoons anyway.

Yeah, but this isn't the comic books, or even Marvel. The comic books are source material, but the show is pretty much only loosely following the comic. (Brock is Peters older friend, who's now a college freshman. And we've got Gwen Stacy with a crush on Peter, which he hardly takes notice of.)

It isn't perfectly realistic, but thus far Spidey pretty much is useless against most of the super villains. He's either been able to spot their weaknesses, or found a way to use the enviorment against them.

(And in the case of the Rhino, both.)

There's one episode where he messes up his hand, and makes a web cast to hold it in place.

For a Sat AM cartoon, it isn't half bad & graphically its pretty fun to watch.

I'm sure I'll watch it eventually, but right now I'm getting tired of the retelling of everything Stan Lee made.

It's like, if they re-re-re-remade Star Wars original trilogy, each time doing it in cartoon form, then a comic book, then a novel, then they re-did the movies again, then they made another cartoon series, I'd be all, "Okay, you know, I think I'm okay to not watch the new Star Wars show."

That and, no TV.

That's what YouTube & Veoh are for. I wouldn't have the the first episode otherwise.
