Counter-intuitive periphericals

so... my keyboard is busted. and now im typingin one of these...

http://www.gadgetvenue.com/wp-conten...e-keyboard.jpg

hate it SO MUCH....

i have to type slowly like if i had just suffered a mild stroke.... i have 3 ''space'' keys but it dosent matter because i have to press it in ONE expecific little spot... dont even get me started with the ''enter'' key... i have a somewhat high typping level (i can type while looking at my TV for instance) but right now i feel like rethink each little thing i want to type to make it shorter

So, have you had a peripheral that you cant quite understand HOW someone saw it as a good idea?

What's amusing to me is that you at one point thought it would be a good idea to actually own and use that peripheral.

But I suppose there are all kinds of stupid ideas out there.

You see, I would actually have a use for that keyboard, as my cat just loves to dump liquid all over my keyboard. If I leave the room with a drink on my desk for even a minute... splash.

He is a bastard.

I can see this working, and I can see this not working. But, for that matter, I'm also kind of a gamer, and therefore pressing down on the WASD keys on that keyboard is going to push it halfway across my desk every time.

The F?
Pardon my language, but what the fuck IS that thing? I mean... why even have the number pad at all at that point? It would take like 20 minutes just to get over to it with all that keyboard in the way.
I'll take the Carpal Tunnel, thanks.

Holy shit I want one of those :whee:!

I'm ordering one over the summer (the dog things).

Also, most of us already have carpal tunnel anyways. My right hand is already fucked up. It curves into the mouse. It was especially bad when I used my miniature sized one. I used a fairly normal sized one now so its starting to straighten out again.

You know, I'd love to get a pen mouse. It's just that some models are almost idiotic in design.

See, the best Newegg has to offer is a corded one that uses a pressure sensor and is the size of a thick gel pen.

An interesting alternative is a pen that seems to have a special ink that an IR sensor picks off of the paper you're writing on, giving you digital and hard copy both.

The worst is a corded one the size of a can of spray paint that uses optical mouse technology and has to be held at exactly 45 degrees against a flat surface with no pressure sensitivity at all and a case of software gremlins.

I just don't get why, for all of our tablet technology, we can't get a simple, small pen, wireless or even wired USB, that works like a tablet pen. I've had a tablet, and I can tell you it was a normal size and had all the necessary technology built right in. I could even understand if it needed a special mouse pad or sensor bar of some sort. Heck, if it had a sensor bar, they could build in a storage slot for the thing. They could make it Bluetooth, rather than using ink.

Edit: On more research, apparently they're out there, but not for sale. I found a really nice set of units from Epos, but nowhere to even find a price for them.
