Game review sites

So I'm looking for good place to get video game reviews. So where do you do yours?

What I normally do is go to gamerankings, pull up the 2 lowest and the 2 highest and read them and that way I usually get a good coverage of good and bad points.

I went to Game Revolution until they shut down. Shame, really, they were funny as hell. Their "F" Grade reviews made me laugh uncontrollably.

I usually ballpark Gamespot, 1up, and EGM's scores together to get a good idea, but other than that Game Rankings gives me a good idea of what to avoid and what to get.

EDIT: Wait, they just changed their URL. Good!

Eurogamer does very good reviews for the most part, and Gametrailers is excellent for seeing a game in motion.

I'm always convinced my internet can't display GT properly. Cause I see heaps of thier stuff everywhere, like on Youtube, but their site is minimalist as and only ever has about 5 things on it. Its bizzare

That's very weird, gametrailers has a pretty huge selection of media and reviews for an equally large selection of games.

I think you're doing alright with gamerankings, though. I don't really read reviews other than idle curiosity since nine times out of ten I know when I want a game a good six months to a year before it comes out.

I stick to Gametrailers for the videos, since those give a good, if very slightly biased outlook on the game. For reviews, I use IGN. I don't often share their rabid hype for the games, but I find they report the pros and cons, and that's all I really need.

im pretty sure i wont be seeing much love for IGN here... some of their reviews are really bad though. I used to rely on it for everything game-like... but stick around for a while and you'll see a tremendous 360 bias on the site... and their ranking system is overly too complicated

I've slowly stopped caring about game review sites for many reasons, including lack of integrity and downright horrible site layout (see Gamespot). However, and although it ashames me to say it, I frequent Action Button a lot, if just to see what verbose diarrhea has Tim Rogers come up with now.

I think forums are far more reliable to get an opinion on a specific game, since the comments come from actual players and not pseudo-journalists who have played every game in the market and whose sole purpose is to find the holy grail of gaming.

P.S. Gametrailers is awesome.

I lost faith in game review sites completely when one of them convinced my poor, delusional younger brother to buy TMNT and Sonic: The Secret Rings on the wii. Now I just go and ask the general public on gaming forums instead.
