A 7th Star Wars Movie to be released?
(I checked for any other thread about this but I didn't find one, apologies if I'm wrong. Although, I wouldn't be 100% surprised if I was the last person to find out about this, as it seems to happen a lot.)

I keep trying to come up with some response or something to say, but I really don't know what to say. I am at a loss. I love Star Wars, so I have yet to decide if I'm excited or not. Ironically, though, I've been going through a Star Wars kick, so this seemed to be appropriate timing to discover this. What do you guys think? |

That said, I wish they just stopped whoring the second trilogy. If Lucas really wants to do something new to the saga he should take it to after Return of the Jedi. There would be far more creative freedom in there. |
If this new Clone Wars cgi cartoon is anywhere near as good as the 2-d animation one that was done around the time of Revenge of the Sith, it'll be amazing. I think it's done by the same people, so it has that going for it.
I'm not sure I'm all about them releasing the first part in theaters though. |
the old cartoon had the guy from Dexter and Samurai Jack doing it, that's why it was so awesome AND better than Revenge of the Sith..
i agree that we should have more material made out after Return of the Jedi. Many people dont have acess or know about the novel (there are some that take place after the last movie, right?) and a movie or series would be great there. they keep whoorig the time gaps of the second trilogy to "explain more"... for me, they are just pointing out how badly done the second trilogy was and all of it's huge holes |
It's exactly the same plot as the already made cartoon, so I'm not interested in it. It has Anakin fighting the Sith chick with the dual lightsabers, etc. The only difference is it's in CG, but it actually looks like really ugly CG, so...I'm not interested in this in the least. I already have the normally animated cartoon taped on a DVD, all three hours, so I'm not really interested in this at all.
When are they going to do the live-action TV series set between III and IV, is what I want to know. Yeah, there are probably some good plot lines from the novels set after Return of the Jedi they could adapt to make into a new trilogy set after Return of the Jedi. |

If they were smart, they'd go for the Thrawn era, if you ask me.
And it looks more like some fan-made movie done in Poser if you ask me.... |
I'm not a big fan of any trilogies of what happened after Return of the Jedi either. I mean, the Sith is pretty much gone what with Sidious and Vader out of the picture and it seems like it would be just more about upholding the peace, and with no rival lightsaber wielders, it's just doesn't seem like it would be as exciting.

Yeah, they'd have to come up with your standard "OH NO NEW SITH LORDS" or something, then. I mean, you could have something involving Luke trying to start the Jedi Order again or something. It could be terrible but it could work out.
But judging by the new trilogy I suppose it would be closer to terrible. |
Well, there IS a fallen Jedi in the Thrawn series. Joruus C'broth.
And in the last book, Luke faces off, and is nearly beaten by, a clone of himself, which is killed by Mara Jade. |
