I was a genius to invent that power.

Is it Mass-Murder time?

Demetrius 05-29-2008 11:17 AM

Do we send in powers against him or vote?

secretskull 05-29-2008 11:30 AM

We just attack the bugger. I suppose we could coordinate it if we don't want to waste energy, but the other mafia members could easily screw that up.

*dies laughing*

Moogle0119 05-30-2008 03:54 PM

I doubt anyone will believe me but I misread my power's abilities and thought I gained both benefits when I'm not scum. Anyway I sent in my turn just defending, town please don't waste your turn killing me off.

Arhra 05-31-2008 06:16 AM

Hmm, we've not heard a peep out of a third of the people in this game yet. This could get messy if we don't hear stuff from them - I'm a little worried about lurkers in such a small game.

Wasn't there some rule against lurking?

secretskull 05-31-2008 06:48 AM

In regular mafia games, there is. I suppose we could enforce it here. But really, all we can do is attack the lurkers, and I'm not sure that is very wise. This game isn't big enough for us to be wasting time on that.

Arhra 05-31-2008 07:34 AM

Well, that's the problem. If they don't interact, we have trouble judging who to attack. Fortunately most of them are on lowish energy, so the threat's reduced at least.

Cati 05-31-2008 05:23 PM

Good point -- I guess it depends if we're playing this more as a rumble game or a mafia game. I was playing as rumble (where nobody really posts) but it makes sense to do this like mafia. Okay.

As for Moogle -- well, I am tempted to believe him that it was just a mistake (his roleclaim name sounds real enough), and I can see how easy it would be to misread it. But... I'm a little suspicious about how it took so long for him to defend himself -- I mean, if it were me and I misread it, then I would point that out as soon as possible. The way it is now, it just kind of looks like he came up with a reason why he'd do that, you know?

But he has a very good point in that we aren't likely to kill him this time. He's using 81 energy for defense (or so he says) and with his power, that will take... 162 regular damage to get past it? So that would be... 324 regular damage to kill him? Tell me if I'm completely misinterpreting here. But if this is true, he DOES have a good point, scum or not scum -- it might be in our best interests to let him go for now, or better yet, only target him with unstoppable damage, because regular attacks just aren't going to cut it. Also, there is a chance that he might be harmless this turn (which means maybe we could focus on somebody else), especially if he's putting all energy toward protecting himself, but then again, he might have some other powers that can attack without spending/burning energy. It's hard to judge with that High Stakes power. :P

Edit: Aha, nevermind, I also misinterpreted Moogle's power. Let me look through it again. That's if Moogle's a townie -- if he's scum, then... let's see. Oh! Then he would have a defense of 91, and it would take 91 regular damage to get past it, 91 + 81... 172 regular damage to kill him. That's a MUCH more sane number, but can we do that? Actually, if we did focus a lot of attacks on him and it didn't touch him, that would show him as a townie. If it does, then it would mean he's scum. Hmm... Perhaps tomorrow if Moogle attackers announce how much they attacked Moogle for, we could figure this out.

My brain hurts.
