Halo: ITSE Recruitment Drive
 

Hey all. This is the signup for Halo: In The Soldier's Eyes. I don't have a story yet (that's MC's job as GM, I'm just the XGM.). A few ground rules for characters. Only humans. MC decided that Covenant players would only complicate the story too much. Also, you can't say you have armor with shields, as that destroys some of the UNSC marine image. We are making it possible for you to salvage Jackal shields and use them, however.

So here's the template. I personally won't be posting my character profile yet, as I still need to think it out. I am calling the driver position though. (I guess there could be multiple drivers too, so if anyone else wants to be a driver, they could be, as either main or secondary skill)

Equipment: (Note that this is starting equipment. You can have two weapons and anything that pretains to your characters skills)

Name: Slash Higgins (Private)
Age: 29
Sex: Male
Physical Appearence: Has a scar running from his left cheek to his left thigh (Where his nickname came from). Red hair, and fatigues are ripped off at the sleeves.
Specialty: Wipin' out the covenant bastards with their own weaponry. Fight fire with fire, he always says.
Equipment: Plasma grenades, a plasma pistol, and a needler.
Bio: Came from deep in the city of New Mombasa. His parents were killed by covenant when he was just 12, and being a young kid, he had no means to fight back. So he learned to shoot with the covenant weapons. As he grew up, he became more and more skilled at using the Needler and Plasma Pistol. He even started practicing his throwing arm with the use of Plasma Grenades. He never forgave the Covenant for killing his parents, and that's why he joined the Forces.

Name: PFC Christian Glover (Chris)
Age: 23
Sex: M
Physical Appearence: Standard UNSC fatigues and armor. The edges of his shirtsleeves are fairly well frayed, and a series of silhouettes on the breastplate of his armor denote a battle born passion for killin'. He's a tall, well muscled kid, about 6', 190 lbs. Green eyes, and bleached blond hair with a deep tan from the open range.
Specialty: Rifleman. If it's got a barrel, he's got it covered. (no dinky weapons)
Equipment: MA5B Mk. II , S2 Sniper rifle, Frag grenades
Bio: Chris grew up on the open range of Texas, shootin' an ridin' the days away until he was old enough to enlist. He has an extremely well tuned eye and hand for the use of longbarrel weapons, and can pop the top off of a bottle of coke at 100 yards...while at a full gallop.
Extra: He's extremely useful as a man to keep you covered at a good range, and keep enemies off of a postion for a decent amount of time, and is quite proficient with the S2, but his true knack lies with assault rifles. He's also a bitchin' sideseat gunner on a warthog.

Name: Corporal James "Jimmy" Arclite
Age: 25
Sex: Male
Physical Appearance: Standard UNSC Fatigues and armour still with plasma burns on them. A small sunburst tattoo over his left eye. Blue eyes, brown hair, muscled build 210 lbs, 6'3 tall.
Specialty: UNSC Firearms (assembly, disassembly, maintance and correct firing proceedure)
Equipment: MA5B Assult Rifle, MD9 pistol, Weapon maintance equipment.
Bio: 100% pure unadulterated USNC Marine. James has been a Marine going on 5 years now. During his earlier days in the service, he made it a habit of his to learn as much as he could about each and every USNC firearm in the hopes that it would come in handy. This time however, his hopes might be answered.

Well here I am! Just tell me if there is something wrong with my statistics.

Name: Corporal Joel Johnson. The others usually call him JJ.
Age: 22
Sex: Male
Physical Appearance: Standard UNSC Fatigues and armour. Brown eyes, black hair, weight about 85-90 kilos and height 185centimeters.
Speciality: Sniping and accuracy.
Equipment: Sniper Rifle, MD9 pistol and grenades.
Bio: Joel has been a marine for 3 years now and has been involved in many missions. Has always been accurate since the training and prefers sniping though he is still good at close combat.

Good so far. MC decided to change his rank all the way up to Lieutenant, so don't worry about rank restrictions (it adds the Sergeant rank to the list.) I also decided that if anyone wants to include a close combat weapon, like a beam sword or a survival knife, that won't count against your weapon total due to the fact that they are small, lightwieght weapons. (The sword has a handle dealie similar to that of a lightsaber). Last note: Anybody playing a tech or any naval personnell will have to use navy ranks (such as petty officer, cheif petty officer, Ensign...etc.)

Name: Sergeant Billy "Wolf" Wolfram
Age: 25
Sex: Male
Physical Appearance: 5' 10", medium build, weighing 137 lbs. Has a Helljumpers tatoo on his left bicep. (The Helljumpers are the Orbital Drop Sky Troopers mentioned in the Halo novels). Blue eyes and a spiky mop of blond hair. Standard UNSC fatigues and Armor, although his armor plating has two black stripes running down the chest plate and helmet.
Specialty: Driving. Also has very good firearms and CQB skills.
Equipment (starting): MD9 Pistol and Shotgun. 4 frag grenades, and a captured Covenant Plasma Sword.
Bio: 2 Years ago, Wolf joined the Helljumpers, a unit only second to the SPARTANS in strength and success against the Covenant. He fought the Covies on Omega Draconis VII and Epsilon Eridani II. He also fought on the surface at Reach, where he encountered a sword-weilding Gold Elite. Miracuously, Wolf managed to evade the Elite's attacks, shove his shotgun down the enemy's throat, and blow his head off. He took the fallen Elite's sword, and has been training to master it ever since. An extremely skilled driver, Wolf attributes his skill to his fast reflexes and instincts, which he also applies to his sword training. He also has very good skills with almost every type of weapon, although he dislikes the covenant plasma rifle. He can drive any vehicle, even the Covenant ones, exceptionally.
Extra: Wolf was separated from his fellow Helljumpers in the descent to Halo. He met up with [Insert MC's character here]'s unit, and has decided to stick with them, even if he finds his platoon.

I'll sign up later, but right now I have a question. How do you get to use covenant vehicles in Halo 2-player?

Name:Sergeant Jason Edom (I don't really care about rank. If you need more of something just assign it to me).
Age: 27
Sex: Male
Specialty: Sniping/Marksmanship in general
Equipment: Sniper Rifle and Pistol with plenty of extra rounds. Grenades, everyone has to have grenades.
Bio: Jason comes from a family with a long military history. His father's father's great-grandfathers fought in the earliest wars on earth. Since then every son has joined some branch of the military, and Jason would be damned if he broke the line. When he joined in his teens, he spent several years in the lower ranks. He had several personality clashes with COs that kept him from rising above Private for a very long time. During his basic training he showed great proficiency with marksmanship and received specialized training to become a sniper(I don't know what the actual process is for someone to become a sniper). When he was finally promoted to sergeant, he decided that was where he wanted to stay, and turned down two other promotions (can you actually do that, I don't know that either). He did not want the burden of command beyond "second-in-command" type positions. He was bounced around from post to post, until he was finally assigned to the PIllar of Autumn under Lt. Risck, who Jason actually respected unlike several of his previous COs.
Physcial Appearance: Like other marines he wore typical fatigues. He also had a pair of dark sunglasses that he wears as a sort of affection. He is 5'8" with a shaved head and weighs 185 lbs.
Extra: An extremely serious man, he usually keeps his distance from the other marines in his unit. This alienated him from several of his COs and caused many confrontations. Despite this, he is very loyal to his comrades. If he can see a target, he can hit it, even if it's moving.
