May 22, 2008 - Like you didn't see this one coming -- BioShock is officially bound for the PlayStation 3.

"We can officially confirm that BioShock is in development for the PlayStation 3," a representative for 2K Games told IGN this morning.

The rumor that everyone's been chewing on since the first-person shooter landed on the Xbox 360 last year has also been confirmed in an EGM interview with Jordan Thomas, the creative director stepping in for Ken Levine. 1UP.com reports that the article, which appears in the July issue of the magazine, reveals that BioShock should be appearing on your black beauty for the 2008 holiday season.

An official statement from 2K is expected soon.

So... I guess there's not a lot to say but "Fuck Yeah."

So the release of a game that came out 11 months ago is something to celebrate?

I didn't realize until now just how bad the game selection on the PS3 is.

It is when you don't own the other systems that the game is on.

For instance, for those who didn't have a Playstation or a Playstation 2, having Final Fantasy Tactics and Disgaea on the PSP was definitely something to celebrate for.

I really wish wed get games other then shooters. If I wanted to play shooters, I'd have bought a 360.

There are still people who don't have a PS2?

As for Bioshock, it was a kick ass game. At least now those with only a PS3 can play it :D

It's not that the game selection is that bad. It's just that I've not been interested in anything that X-BOX has to offer save for the Halo series and Bioshock. My Wii and PS3 have made me happy enough - and since my family computer is a bit out of date, I didn't want to grab them to give my family an excuse to rope me into upgrading it.

Luckily, this Summer, MGS4, SC4, Disgaea 3, and then in fall, like, a million games are out.

Frankly the only thing that ever intrests me in the ps3 lists is littlebigplanet otherwise the rest of the games (sept maybe mgs4 and disgaea)could be crap. but its good to see a game that was so kickass is going to the ps3

But isn't someone more likely to have a PS2 than a PSP, and wouldn't people who were big PS2 fans be more likely to own a PSP than those who aren't?

You know it's been a while since you last posted an actual webcomic instead of talking about how much you love to post webcomics. I was beginning to suspect that you had been replaced by an impostor.
