Chrono Trigger's cool whereas Chrono Cross does drugs and called your mother a whore

Anyway, if I recall correctly Cross decided that it was Schala who was pulling all the portal shit, but this could be way off base because I really didn't play Cross at all and my knowledge is based entirely on hearsay. |
All I have to say is this.

So much for my moratorium idea.

Which is why you take the Chrono Cross element and have to use all of the colors first to get the 'great' ending, as you're bringing harmony to the Time Devourer's chaotic existence. Also, seriously, I just said Time Devourer out loud and I now realize how bad it sounds. |
So...
Why is Crono missing an H in his name? It always bothered me, for some reason. |
Because they could only have 5 letter names. Technological restriction.
|
Five-letter name limit. His name actually is Chrono is Japan.

Of course, I always felt this opened the door for the events of Chrono Cross to be taking place in a separate continuity from Trigger, as it seemed like the entire planet itself was radically different from the one in the original game. For instance, it was stated in Cross that the events of the game Radical Dreamers took place in a different universe, though it was also stated officially that the "Gil" character in RD was, in fact, Magus. Essentially, it would be a better way to reconcile the two stories without having to accept that the lovable heroes from Chrono Trigger all died like bitches. |
Bah, I had this hugeass post ready for the last thread, and you guys went and closed it on me when I was typing >.>
Ooooooh, this looks like fun! *Jumps back in* Quote:

Now, about the translation issues... Here's a link to a page showing the original text, the japanese characters, and then a retranslation of the original japanese: http://chronofan.com/Black/Publicati...ter%2025-1.htm Ctrl+F 'Entity', and you'll find this under the retranslation: Quote:
EDIT: Dammit, I KNEW I was forgetting something! The original line for Gaspar was "This is a battle between the planet and Lavos!", which was skewed by translation. Quote:
Now, on to more light-hearted matters. Specifically, the FFVI-2 Volleyball game. Quote:

I would kill you, your brothers/sisters/aunts/uncles/parents/whatever for Lucca in a swimsuit. Seriously, there isn't enough Lucca porn, and if there is, I don't have it yet. Either way, a game like this would only cause there to be more of it. ...Err. No, seriously. We need more of it. The current collections I've found aren't NEARLY vast enough. I'd sit through team after team of Strago/Tellah for Lucca to be in that game. Maybe we could add Harle, too? >.> |

Honestly, any entity capable of manipulating space and time to such a degree as to be able to create rifts through time in an ordered and planned manner would be, arguably, able to find--in the time stream--the event Lucca regretted and open a portal to it. Your theory is anything but iron clad. Also: Dude, cut down the creepy with the porn. Seriously. Lucca and Harle are hot and all, but spouting off about porn is kinda... well it's just creepy. |

Anyway. Being totally honest Chrono Trigger has it's own paradoxes anyway, just because it's all about Time Travel anyway and those usually lead to strange incidents. I am reminded of a fanfiction that takes the first moment of time travel from the game and puts it into real-world context, such as travelling 400 years into the future, the world rotating around the sun, and falling out of a portal 400 years in the future only to suffocate in space. EDIT: Why do you people keep calling her "Harle?" |
I think we all just need to face the facts that Chrono Cross was a decent game and that Fifthfiend is just a whore who didn't get paid by Chrono Cross after he gave it the reach around that it wanted, and thus is illogically biased on this matter.
And I don't think my brain could handle Harle porn EVER. |
