Ninja Gaiden II.
If you have a 360 I recommend buying Ninja Gaiden II. If you lack a 360 then buy a 360 and then buy Ninja Gaiden II. If you live in Germany then import that son of a bitch. Why buy NGII, you ask? Because
-There are werewolves that pick up the remains of their fallen comrades and use them as weapons. -There are ninja dogs that throw exploding shuriken at you. -There is a SHITLOAD of gore, all the time. -You can record yourself playing and that footage can be uploaded to/downloaded from the Leaderboards (I think). -There's an achievement for dying 100 times. I rest my case. I'm on Chapter 3 on Warrior difficulty and it's great so far. The bosses have been kicking my ass as well. Three weapons, sword up to level 2 and everything else at level 1. |
Aw, man, I got this in the middle of the week and I'm... sorta addicted. Only sorta because the game's difficulty kicks your ass on Normal/Warrior without any mercy. In fact, I think it has less mercy than the first one, which puts it in the negatives...
Anyway, I'm on chapter... I think 8, with all weapons maxed out. Of course, that doesn't help when you have about 12 guys with cluster rocket launchers (I'm gonna call 'em clusterfuck launchers) and about 6 giant biomechanical... things with guns, swords, and fireballs all reaching down your throat and pulling your guts out through your nose. Well, figuratively, of course. Of course, other than the mind-shattering difficulty, I love it. Adding slicing and dicing to a game that was badass in the first place just makes things AWESOME. |
So I should pay $67 for a game that ensures my failure repeatedly?
|
Thats actually a really good way of putting it....
But yeah i really like both games, and despite the amount of times your gunna be throwing your controller down in utter disgust, it will all be worth it. |
I totally would since DMC4 was a bit of a disappointment compared to how much sheer thrill I got out of DMC3.
I'll get it eventually; right now buying games comes at a lower priority since I still haven't finished GTA4. |
[offtopic]Mirai, we won't be seeing you for a few more weeks. That game is just insane with all the stuff you can do...[/offtopic]
Lazy, I thought you could block the rockets with your sword? |
Chapter 4 is kicking my ass, because of my lack of healing items and the abundance of demons and ninjas in between me and the next save point. Hopefully there's another shop around too.

Oh, and a pointer for anyone who isn't that far yet: Save Lives of the Thousand Gods (or Life of the Gods if you get a full life extension) for when you're almost dead. The fact that it fully heals you upon use lets it be one of the very VERY few in-battle full-heals in the game. It's useful for Trials of Valor, too. And one last thing before I'm done: New Vigoorian Flails are even more awesome than in the previous game. I don't know how they did it, but they made scythe-chucks even more awesome. |
When I saw Gametrailers review of this game, I started to question their intelligence a little. They wanted multiplayer for Ninja Gaiden II. The combat and all that jazz are made of pure awesome, but I just haven't the foggiest idea how multiplayer could work for this game. Just because a game is awesome doesn't mean it needs multiplayer.

Multiplayer in Ninja Gaiden would seem weird, but I think if the creators would be able to make it correctly where it might actually make some sense then I think it would be perfect. One on One online battles would be so amazing with combat like Ninja Gaiden's.
