Buy My Stuff

If word hasn't really spread yet, I was married exactly 3 months ago yesterday. Now anyone who has been married will be able to verify this - When you get married, people get pretty generous with the gifts. Fun times to be sure! The other, unfortunate, side of this is that not everyone has the consideration to include gift receipts. It's unfortunate becuase these are the people who tend to get you duplicate gifts. It is this dilemma that brings me to you today;

I have in my possession about 7 household items in unopened-brand-new condition that cannot be returned to the store, and have failed on craigslist becuase, I dunno, they get lost in the millions of other ads on craigslist, perhaps.

So, with the permission of certain mod (for privacy's sake we'll call him... 'No. 5 in a series of Monsters') I am listing these items for sale right here, just for you! I am listing some prices, but I likely won't turn down any reasonable offer.
So, yeah. Some fairly useful items. I just don't want two of each of them using up space in my pantry. I would prefer a reply here cause my Private Message box is nearly full, but when we're figuring out the shipping details and such, we can exchange emails. Pictures are available

ALSO! My wife has some extra Anime stuff about the house we are selling. These ones are not so negotiable price-wise, but if you're in the market we have;

EDIT: And you know, while I'm at it, I sure could use a new computer! I have a self-built PC and a G4 Mac. Neither are spectacular, but they work. And i would really like to part with both for some starting money on a new system.

The PC specs elude me in part at the moment. I can tell you that it is a 80GB HDD, and an AMD 2200+ 1.79 GHz CPU. The motherboard is fairly old. It runs PCI and DDR1 (not DDR2) RAM, and currently has 1 stick of 256MB RAM. The graphics card is an ATI 8200 (?) and it has an adapter for Audio/Video. The DVD drive doesn't quite work but that may because I did something wrong... in any case it is read only and won't burn anything at the moment. It is wireless capable and has something like 8 USB ports.

The Mac is a 'PowerMac G4', it has a 40GB HDD and 512MB of RAM. Since it is a Mac that should tell you everything you need to know about it? It's in good condition, and the monitor is awesome. Only the USB ports in the monitor have shorted, so the whole thing has 4 working USB ports (two onboard, two on the keyboard).

I don't really know what to expect price-wise on these, so I will consider offers if/as they come.

So that's it. The mods did want me to mention that this 'ad' is in no way affiliated with 8-Bit Theater, nuklearpower.com, Nuklear Power Forums or anyone representative of the aforementioned properties/ sites. If anything falls through, only myself and the purchasing party are responsible or involved at all.

EDIT Mark II: I have attached some pictures. More to follow... later?

If you can provide me to a link to "12 Piece Bialetti Pots & Pans Set-----$35" so I can see them, I think we might be able to make a deal on those.

Hey Nique, how do you feel about shipping to Canada? I'm interested in that Kallen figure. Any chance of a picture?

Also, is Paypal ok for payment? I'm assuming USD for the prices.

I might be interested in the microwave... Maybe even the skillet. I'd like to see pictures of both, though, before I would decide.

Nique IS Canadian, babe.

A LOT of us are!

CANUCKISTAN FOR THE WINNAH

EDIT: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaawh man....sorry. I had you and another dude mixed up in my head. Shipping is fairly decent - you just make sure there is a waybill to go with. If you ship from Canada to the United States, they expect you to write out what the thing is, to whom it is going to, and how much it is deemed `worth`. Most small package is covered up to and including a hundred dollars AND there is a catch to it. Your duty is based on the "estimated worth" of said package.

ie., the ring that I paid for was almost a hundred dollars, bought for someone I like in CA. The shipping was seven dollars.
The SHIPPING LABEL claims that the ring is worth "$35.00". My friend in CA will not pay duty on that "thirty five dollar estimated amount" ring. If I placed on the package that it was worth almost a hundred, they would have to pay for it.

Now, if that ring goes missing, I think USPS or CanPost would pay only the thirty five buckeroonies, but still. It MAY still qualify for that hundred dollars that automatically comes with the cost of shipping.

I have sent out... golly... a few dozen hats and stuff now. Only ONE has gone missing. Even the headband sent to Qatar was returned to me, because they don`t HAVE zip or postal codes. Standard Light Package from Canuckistan to the Excited States for things under a kilogram thus far have been round the seven dollar mark. Even shipping something signifigantly heavier should not cost more than twenty.

Just two cents' worth from someone who ships frequently. ;)

Well then, that makes life far, far easier. I had completely forgotten.

Nique 06-15-2008 11:46 PM

Wow. OK I did not expect to get such a good response. Thank you guys!

Seeing as more than just a couple seem to be looking for stuff, i will upload some pictures and link them a little later tonight.
