Jack frowned slightly at the boys words. "That doesn't sound good. Perhaps we should stay grounded for the time being, at least untill we have more information. Speaking of which..."

He turned to the Doorman. "Excuse me. As you've noticed, we're new to the area. Could you give us any information about this place, or a run down of anything intresting around here?

"In that case, you probably won't draw their attention. The Hive Army were just a regular army for the longest time. Loyal. Patriotic. Serving the country. When Captain Sears died though, something changed. The army that had once been something to look up to took a sinister shape, and every year it's gotten worse. They aren't even human anymore, just monstrous pawns to the Hive Queen."

He turned to Jack. "There are several districts. There is residential, government, industrial, poor, and the adult district, which you currently occupy. Going into the government district is suicide, and the poor district isn't much better."

"Aw...." Alice mumbled to herself tiredly as she tapped her foot. She had really wanted to go into the thick of things. Then, an idea came to her. A wicked smile crept over her face, and she slowly walked to the door, then she dashed out of the bar and to the outside, looking around. "I'll meet up with you guys later!" And with that she began running out and around the corner, through the poor area in a mad dash laughing to herself and enjoying the bubbly feeling she was getting. Of course, she had taken note of what the man had said, and laughed about it to herself. So, apparently this boss fights gonna be some hive queen. Classic, slightly overused concept I think, but I guess it'll still be fun all the same. She thought, acting as if this entire thing was a game, which it kind of was to her.

Crovax picked up both Steven and Alice ( They are both relativly thin so i would say about 145-150 pounds) thats less than a fifth of what i can lift so it should'nt slow me down that much.
Then Crovax took of majesticly and dramticly into the air complete with the sunlight shing from behind his wings. He began flying towards the residential district through the slow route.

Alice gets away from you and continues her run down beggar way. :P

Jack sat up with a start as Alice ran out the door, an incredulous expression on his face. "Wait, where are you-!" It was to late, she was already out the door. He jumped to his feet and charged out the door after her. "Wait!"

'I'm going to regret this,' He thought darkly as he followed the insane girl into the poor district, 'I know it.'

Crap... Well i have to follow her now.
Crovax heads down beggar way hopefully catching up to her.

"Well! This is going to be so much fun! Don't worry, I'll meet you there!" Alice shouted back to them as she ran off giggling through the alleyways. Farther in her trip down Beggar way, just when they were beginning to catch up, she made the red aura concentrate around her feet, and she sped up some more, gliding about three inches over the ground and took off far faster than before. She made sure to look around a bit, specifically for people being around, but mostly focused on covering as much distance as quickly as she could as possible.
"Wheee!"

Let's calculate this I have maxium wing span for my size about 40 through 50 feet. And her powers arent at maxium effectiveness yet i'm carrying about a 75 pound child an almost neglible amount of weight for me who is faster?

Alice noticed that though she was going as fast as she could, they were still catching up to her. It seemed inevitable that she would be caught, but that was part of the fun, she had to at least try.

Well an alleyway usualy has pretty low buildings i'm sure the hive army would'nt mind me flying just above them.
And I want to have some fun with this to so I left it up to GM disgression. For clarification Steven is on my back I wish to take the brunt of an attack if it comes..

Just because you can move faster does not guarantee you catch her. There is also the matter of actually catching her. You are already carrying someone, speaking of which are you holding him with an arm or on your back. You are trying to grab hold of her. She can dodge, stop momentarily so that you go past her and all sorts of things, plus with your wingspan, it'll be hard to maneuver.

Cue Dramatic enemy apperance.

"Why should I? I'll meet you there, don't worry about me, I'll be completely fine. Whats the worst that could happen?"
Alice kept going, looking back at the two of them flying up at her, but not really slowing down at all.
((Now cue the appearance.))

OOC: Didn't want to do something so predictable but okay...

A strange, skeletal beggar stepped forward, wearing only torn jeans. A strange sort of IV drip was grafted to his back, from which needles came, connecting to the veins in his arms. Looking at Alice, as she was closest, he groaned and began to approach her, swinging wildly at the air.

In response to his groan, several similar beggars came out of the shadows, mimicking the firsts behavior.


Mindless: Unfortunate souls who have lost their minds due to the drugs constantly being fed into their bodies, the very thing which destroyed them becoming their sustenance. Will mindlessly attack anything that comes near. They move in groups and certain individuals have taken to using them to guard key locations.

Crovax goes onto the ground when he gets close enough then slashing at the beggar closests to ALice

It's chest tore open and white liquid began to pour out of the wound as it collapsed. Meanwhile, more and more of them began to come in from every direction.

Slicing 3 of them in an arcing slash he grabbed Alice and took to the skies hoping to Jesus they could'nt fly.

Alice giggled intensely, and began waking backwards, preparing to begin a messy fight that would surely be hillarious for her to be in. However, right as she was about to do something, somebody jumped in front of her, killing one, and she was lifted up really high off the ground. She was kind of stunned into a complete shock by this, the ground lifting farther off her feet, and her red aura losing its contact with the ground both combined to scare her quite a bit.
Eventually though, she got over it, and shook her head. A quick slap to Corvax's face was in order, and she began to freak out, barely holding on to some sense of calm in her voice.
"Do you have any sort of clue on how much you terrified me? I thought one of those things had gotten behind me without notice!" She calmed herself down, and pressed her aura to her body to cushion anything that would go against her, or in the case he dropped her for some reason she would be able to soften the fall to a degree she could handle. But, as a further saftey precaution, she clasped around Corvax and held onto him as tight as she could, affixiating her gaze down at the creatures below her, which didn't help her current state of mind.

YAY expositstion!

Oh here we go, the criticalness and all that. I hate it when people lecture me, its normally for no reason, and it starts to.... Huh? Alice snapped out of her mental monolouge and turned to face Corvax, finding his face in tears, which made sense with the last few words he had spoken to her. "Wait, huh? What happened last time?" Her face started to appear concerned for him, and she stopped being so upset. However, she held on tighter as she noticed them go faster and faster, obviously worried she was going to fall.

It's not something you should hear... Ah hell you've already seen worse things here then i could ever tell.
Getting control of himself and regaing compousure (after picking up steven he is now cradeled in one arm... for expostions sake let's say he's passed out.)
You see i dint always work for the asylum.. Once I had a family a beautiful loving family two kids a girl and a boy. At the time we were living in a poor neighborhood and there were rumors going around that there was some rumor that some sort of a freak cannibal killer was in the county. I had just heard this on the radio so being the father i was i went straight home. I was too late when I got there the.. the bastard was eating my little boy.. Then I just blacked out and when i came to. Oh it's to horrible for someone as young as you. I've already said to much.

"As heartbreaking as that is-" Jack yelled up as he ducked under a punch, "I doubt this is the time or place to be dweling on it!" He dodged to the left as another creature charged at him, grabing it's IV drip as it passed and looping it around his first attacker's neck, yanking hard. Both beggars fell to the floor, one screaching as it's drug supply was torn away, the other trying to claw at the tube around it's blocked throat.

(I don't mean you should stop, it's just something I think Jack'd say)

"Child. You mean child. And I agree with you, Steven doesn't need to be in the middle of this. But, wouldn't it be better if you put me down first so I can help here?" Alice pouted a bit, although that story of his seemed to cheer her up. Although she had enough sense to stop herself from outwardly laughing during it. She looked downward, and began to think of a way to land on the ground, though still focusing mostly on Corvax and whatever he would say or do next.

"Get them both out of here and keep an eye on them," Jack called as he backed away from a new group of beggars, giving himself more room to move around in. "Especialy the girl," He added exasperatedly as he heard Alice's attempt to rejoin the fight. "Mr Vander and I will catch up with you shortly."

First of all WTF it cheered her up a story of a child being eaten alive cheered you up? SICK
Crovax lands back at the bar and deposits Alice and steven in the temp care of the doorman. And flies swiftly back to the scene and with dramatic flare

The doorman looked over at Alice and said, "My name's Isaac, by the way. You wish you were out there, fighting, don't you?"


Meanwhilst, as the soulless beggars were cut down, our heroes began to here clapping come from the roof of one of the buildings, looking up, they saw Doppleganger, smiling and laughing to himself.

"Having fun, are we? You want to cure the poor boys madness? Is that it? You don't even know its cause, nor if he can live without it? Fine! I'll watch this play out..." Doppleganger snapped his fingers and the beggars fell to the ground, gasping and choking, suffocating for no reason. As they did, a red iron door appeared, a dagger design in the golden handle.

Turing to the door and grabbing the handle.

"Mmmn. Nah, its fine. The catch is, I just have to be close. So all and all, its the same to me." Alice made sure that Steven was sfe with her as the battle continued, but then abruptly finished as doppleganger came out and taunted the group some more, ended everything swiftly, and created a door for them to go through.
"Well, I would go, but it appears its my job to get Steven home." She turned to Steven, smiling. "So, ready to go for a little ride home. Don't worry, we'll take the long way."

Crovax smiled Alice was finally learing responiblity he would have wept if not for the fact he had just ran his underused and dried up tear ducts dry.XD
The last thing that was behnd a door was a city with a hive army and some zombies whats the worst that could be behind this one........

Jack made sure he was standing no where near the door as Crovax aproched it.

"As much as I dislike the idea of playing into the hands of that... Doppleganger, we are technicaly here to explore this man's mind as much as possible. Be careful when you open that though, please."

The door opened to reveal a small dungeon-like room. Dank and ancient, on the far wall a man was held aloft by chains that pierced his hands and seemed as though they were trying to pull him apart. Blood was everywhere and the man's head hung low, as though he were dead. Voices echoed from everywhere at once and Alice, Jack, and Crovax suddenly all found themselves in the room with no door in sight.

"It's all my fault."
"When's Daddy coming home."
"Don't talk to strangers."
"It hurts."
"Don't touch me."
"Let me go."

And many more things were spoken by the wailing, pitiful voices. The voices were both frightening and pitiable. Shivers ran up the spines of our heroes. The voices hushed for a moment, then all said in unison, "Nobody loves me." With that, the torture victim who's body was covered in cuts and bruises lifted his head. His eyes were missing and his tongue cut out, but there was no mistaking it. It was the man who's mind they'd entered.

My god...How can someone live this way....this man needs help now...
Crovax goes over to assist the torured man.

Blood starts to ooze from one of the man's wounds, but unnaturally slow.

"You're here to hurt me, aren't you? Just like that man."

Alice had to work from squealing in glee. So much... its bliss.... Though in the dark she could allow herself to smirk without being seen too much. She didnt want everyone else to know for a fact that she was far worse than this man in their construed terms of sanity. She couldn't manage to make herself angry or fearful because of this, so her mind set itself to being neutral with minor slightly revealing smiles that she couldn't help.
"At least he isn't as different from them as I am." Alice muttered under her breath while looking straight at it, her aura rising around her almost beyond her control, soaking it in its full effect. She quickly looked around, and just now realized that she had no idea how she got there. But, she didn't care, this was such a great feed. "Uh... Yeah. We need to do something...." Alice hoped that she had managed to conceal her fits of giddiness from infecting her voice enough so she sounded serious about it.
She looked over at the man who had addressed them. "No, we aren't here to hurt you." Well.... I am kinda, but saying that wont do me any good here. "We want to help you get better. But," She looked at the others with her, then continued. "I'm not sure how we can do that...."

"You're lying everyone lies... Even me..."

More blood poured, and it seemed to be taking a shape as it poured, though they couldn't tell what...

Crovax looks at him with a kindly stare.(This is all genuine)
I'm genuinely here to help you I know what it's like to feel empty inside to feel as if the whole world is against you I got through it and now I'm here to help you thorugh this to help you recover your soul and learn what it means to live again..

"But if I'm happy... I'll die..." The blood took the form of chains and began to swing at the group.


Self-Hatred: A pure emotion born from suffering, it is not so easily destroyed as other perceptions. Able to give its blood any form, it is a formidable foe.

Alice swooped out of the way easily, being smaller and already farthest back. Her aura grew and burst out around her, and no longer attempting to restrain herself she giggled madly. Her face broke out almost laughing hysterically, and she slid farther back getting ready while soaking the energy in.
"So guys, what do we do now? Just beat it, cause I think I can handle that quite fine." Alice stared at the crimson aura pulsing rapidly with her heart on her hands. She had never eaten this much up in a direct attempt all at once before, which might make it risky. "Hey, might as well go for it. Worst is I fail and only absorb some, and my allies have to save my ass. Best is I assimilate the thing in one quick bite. Though, likely It'll take several attempts, and as long as I take it in piece by piece instead of all at once, it should be decently possible. No matter what... the benefits are unparalleled!" Alice grinned to herself with glee, preparing to charge at it in some sneaky manner.

Corvax had a small slash across his chest not deep but strecthing the enitre wayI was once like you tortured and full of hate.BUT NOT ANYMORE!!!! Commence heavy metal music. as Crovax is wrapped in a white aura emerging as a fully armoured angel with a Shining whte greatsword wrapped in holy fire and a set of smaller swords on his back.
Combat actions: emerging from the energy cocoon he slashes at the monstrocity the holy fire wrapping his entire body in the flames of vengence.(decied to make alternate persona harder to come out and slightly more powerful sort of like lvling up.)

Crovax slashes the man, and blood sprays from the wound. As it does so, however, it takes the form of a sword and pierces Crovax' shoulder.

Jack dodged around the chains, fading in and out of mist form as they wove around him.

"It's times like this I really wish I had a weapon of some kind." He muttered under his breath as he lunged forward, grabing a chain and knoting it around the others chasing him. It wouldn't hold them for more than a second or two, but he could use the time to get closer to the man controling them at least.

As Jack had predicted, the chains weren't tangled for very long. After a second, they changed form and took that of a large wolf which began chasing him.

"Oh damnit." Jack growled as he looked back. Ahead of him was the controler, behind him was a large angy looking animal. Some days he hated his job. 'Although, this may work to my advantage. Maybe.'

He skidded to a halt and turned around, making sure the controler was directly behind him. He waited for the wolf to leap for him, then exploded into mist again, allowing the beast to pass through him and hopefully land on the controler himself.

"Goodbye," the Masochist said as the wolf became a large spear and pierced through his chest. He died instantly and the room started to fade. As it did, a door appeared and swung open, revealing that it led to Escape, where they could see Steven waiting for them.

Crovax looked mournfully at the remains of the creature.

With that he went to steven his face a mask of happiness.(He's acutally really sad in case no one notcied;))

"What happened?" Steven asked. The alcoholic from before was no longer at the bar.

"As he says." Jack said as he followed Crovax back onto the street. "Now then, weren't we trying to get you back home? Which way is it?" He asked.

"I don't know, I'm kinda lost... If you could get me to the area with all the houses, I could probably find it..."

Crovax let Steven attach himself to his back.
"Don't worry we're taking the long way around this time.
With that he took off into the air being sure to taked the long way REGARDLESS to what Alice does.

"I think that would be best." Jack nodded, grabing Alice gently but firmly and carrying her after the winged man. "Apologies young miss, but I'd rather not take chances here."

Flying throught the air not quite so gracefully, Crovax lands in the residential area, making sure tio keep an eye out for potential baddies, he sets Steven down.

Crovax leads Steven home going from house to house, until they arrive home.

Alice seems a bit upset that she was being carried. That was when she woke up however. She blissfully remembered collecting energy from the battle, however she nodded off, drowzily moving about ever after that. In the end, it saved her the effort so she really didn't care all too much, but actually started focusing again once they landed, Alice catching right up to Stephen.

Crovax walked along the houses slowly, seeing Alice had decied to catch up Crovax looked at her, and said I see someone decied to join the party, anyway how are you Alice feeling okay? You passed out back there for a little while.

Alice hazily looked back up at Corvax, and smiled some while trying to not make it too obvious that she was tired. But, the fact he stated that should have tipped her off he knew she was spent. Alice probably did know, although, she still had pride, way too much to even consider admitting such a thing. Wow, absorbing energy has left me tired. Seems silly, but I know when I get over this spell I'll be more enhanced than ever.

Alice grinned faintly, and realized that she indeed did have to answer, since she almost closed her eyes again, she nearly forgot to. "Oh... yeah. I'll be fine, nothing really." She yawned, slowing down quite a bit, but realizing this and skipped faster to catch back up before the gap became too large. "Yeah, just a minor little thing...."

Crovax laughed, it was painfully obvious the little girl was tired, well why should'nt she be. She has been up for almost 24 hours, and Crovax was pretty sure not little girl had EVER been through this kind of thing, oh well Crovax thought.
Hey look Alice the suns about to come up. wont it be nice to see a sunrise. With a happy, cherry adittude Crovax walked on down the street. He had apperently recovered from the little "episode" he had back there and for some reason he was as good as new.

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentleman!" Came Doppleganger's voice as Crovax and Alice walked. "As you are no doubt aware, you just killed an emotion. A negative emotion though it was, who knows what you may have caused. For the better or worse, we'll see soon enough. As you all amuse me so, would you care for a story? A tale, as it were?"

Crovax looked coldly at doppleganger the Fury of a thousand hells contained within his eyes. But he managed to constrain himself because the children were present.
What the hell do you want? We come here to help Steven here, and you attempt to kill us. What the hell is your problem? Don't you want Steven to get better, to expand the boundries of his mind? But hey some people are just against growth, and progress, maybe you have other goals. Hell I don't care because they'res no way in hell your stopping us from helping Steven.
BAM!

"You humans are so special? So glorious? Saviors? You're destroyers. It's the fault of humans that Steven is the way he is. You're all just idiots. Pawns. You have no idea what you're doing."

Oh, I know what I'm doing. I know more about this than you even, my little friend. But, go ahead and make your speeches, your presence only feeds me more Alice stayed completely silent through the entire thing, deciding not to get involved in it and let Corvax handle this one once and for all. She wanted to see how he could handle things, but part of the reason was, she didn't trust herself with handling anything like this, and she really wasn't in any sort of condition to fight at the moment. If she passively drained madness during a fight, she could help like that, but otherwise, she really didn't feel like getting into the heat of things. he's right... thats really all you are. Just another beast of psychotic desires, and in the end, just another meal for me..... Alice had a really wicked grin, but she wasn't letting anything on that would reveal her true thoughts.

"Yes, that's all I am. Evil, born of evil. It would be ridiculous to think that I serve some sort of purpose. I'm just here to cause suffering, because that is what you believe."

Visually shaking by now Crovax could barely contain his anger.. He has caused Stevens suffering for years. But once again he held back for Steven, unwilling to further harm his mind. But he could'nt do it for much longer
Crovax looked Doppleganger in the eyes now.

Alice looked over at the strain Corvax was having, and in a sly grin really began to take advantage of the anger he was generating. I like this, you just very well feed me yourself Corvax. I'll get out of your way then... "C'mon Steven, lets move back a bit, ok?" Alice went over to Steven and held his hands, beckoning him to go farther away from Corvax and Doppleganger. "There we go.... Oh please let a fight begin, I need this. And with a big smile, she watched the tensions rise further.

Crovax smiled cruely, with the children gone he had the advantage. No holding back this time... (
Crovax took to the skies his wings beating repeatedly He took a dive transforming his sword into a Gransuer this time aiming for the right arm.(ie his knife arm. And still waiting for Gm to post dodge.)

The blade pierced Doppleganger's shoulder, and he laughed. "Don't you find it interesting that you and you're friends have started these fights on both occasions?" His left arm turned into a sword and he shoved it through Crovax' shoulder.

OOC: DAMN that's some grade A ultra high quality irony. Also note, the silence of the lambs semi quote.
IC: Despte being wounded Crovax smiled. He always blacked out when he got injured, and well bad things happen when he blacks out.
"You really shouldn't have done that".
He smiled and, he seemed to go limp, as if he had taken all he could take.Then he looked back up.

Ravax, wrenched the blade from his shoulder, the wound searing shut on the spot.
How's about me, and you take this some where less public?
With that he picked up Doppleganger and THREW him in the direction of the poor district.

Suddenly, Doppleganger appeared next to Alice and laughed. "You all seem rather fast to jump to conclusions. How is a group as deranged as you supposed to help someone?"

Alice didn't move an inch, except for a bit of laughter. "So, that was what the buildup was... She turns her head to face doppleganger, and speaks in a whisper. "And, what makes you so sure we are trying to help? Oh sure he is.... Motioning towards Corvax. "But, I'm not so sure about myself. I'm here to eat up the madness, healthy for the host or no. Give me another day and at the rate I'm going, I'll have consumed this entire mind so its nothing but an emotionless husk. I hunger, and I will feed, and damn the consequences. Sure, you could try to stop me, but.... My precious Corvax wont allow it I'm sure." Alice grins at Doppleganger, and turns back over to where Corvax is floating, then she pretends to be a little scared and backs herself and Steven away, leaving room for Corvax to get between her and Doppleganger.

OOC: I feel so used yet as a good rper I can do nothing about it.):

Crovax grew visibly more enraged, his eyes hazing over and his apperance becoming almost the picture of angelic wrath to the point of holy flames, and light were erupting from him in gouts and flashes. He screamed in guttural rage, and in a flash he was before doppleganger Gransuer impaling him straight through his heart.
"As long I hath the ability to draw mine breath you shalt not harm hide, or hair of the children. DIE MONGREL!! The seventh angel hath sounded his turmpet and judgement hath come for thee, SHATTER GRANSUER!
With an expolision the god spear shattered it's shards poking from every pore, every orifice was covered in shards of the god spear.
Crovax then made a gesture with his hand and in a burst of flame ,and light Crovax screamed
"IGNITE! vengenace hath come for thee demon it's time to pay thine dues.
Then the shards erupted in holy flame immolating the doppleganger in flame.( Angelic wrath Exodus verse 12 The third angel sounded his horn, and the world erupted in flame ,and thus a third of mankind was claimed.)

We have vastly exceeded post limit. That's how awesome we are.
