Looking for a game under 25 bucks

well I finally got my new graphics which had kept me out of PC gaming for the past couple of years. So being out of the loop for this long even older games are brand new by my perspective. Hopefully that equates to good games at a low price. Plus now there are episodic games, however I question how many hours I would get out of them. For 20 bucks I'd like to get a good 10 hours. Actually I'd like to get atleast 10 hours out of any game I buy reguardless of price. Unless its Portal

But back to the topic at hand. I am out of the loop as I said, so whats good for 25 dollars and under. Sadly this is the most I can spend so I cant go higher then that. Any suggestions?

Honestly if all you have to your name is 25 bucks, you should probably throw it in a savings account or mutual fund or something, instead of buying a vidjama game. :p

But what kind of genre are you looking for? Twitch? RPG?

its not all I have, its all I have to spare. The rest is in savings or for bills.

RPG, sim, RTS, action, adventure games are typically high on my list. RTS and sim games especially since I have a fairly strict 'PC only' policy on them I tried them on consoles, didn't translate well

not into MMOs and not in the mood for FPS

You can probably still get Morrowind for $10 at Best Buy.

You can probably get Morrowind and Neverwinter Nights plus all expansions and still have enough left for a coffee. NWN with expansions is practically two games in one; granted, the story and plot structure isn't exactly prize winning, but it makes for a long trip and it's reasonably entertaining. Plus there are tons of user-written add-ons of wildly varying quality.

Yea, get Neverwinter Nights Platinum.

Does this mean I'm not the only one who thinks the original NWN is oodles better than NWN2, and it has nothing to do with loving pretty much everything Bioware does?

I would buy NWN. It might also be in your best interests to grab Icewind Dale, but it might be hard to find now. And NWN has really good multiplayer, in my opinion.

EDIT: Plus, the Aurora toolset is downright amazing and what I use to pretty much judge every other modding/level editor. :p

Ok, everybody beat me to the punch, but honestly, if you're looking for an RPG you can invest probably dozens (or in my case, thousands) of hours into, and for the PC, then Neverwinter Nights Platinum Edition is your clear winner. I saw it at EB Games for $19.99 I believe, may have even been lower than that.

P.S. Redemption PW rules ;)

Emphasis is mine, because it's true. I got this game as a gift from Muzyka when my mother got remarried, and quite honestly, I've logged so much gametime into it that it's phenomenal. And that's not including how much time I spend just messing around in Aurora. The replayability factor is hypothetically endless.

Fallout beats all. And with 3 coming out soon you can save up for the new one.

should be about 10 bucks.
