It's not a remake.

be still my beating heart.

I hope they're not just toying with our emotions.

I wouldn't be able to take the heartbreak.

First thing I thought: Ah. So Square's ruining yet another game.

CelesJessa 07-01-2008 09:52 PM

Kanji is haaard.

In case anyone is interested, besides the regular stuff it says in that little box (genre: RPG, system: Nintendo DS, etc) it DOES say that the maker is SquareEnix and not SquareSoft, so maybe that helps prove that it's not just a rerelease? Or it might mean nothing.

My nerdy self is trying to read the rest of that stuff. XD

Oh man, this might JUST cement my need to buy a DS.

Can we get an actual source here or are we stuck with four pages of posts on a message board that consist entirely of people saying it's true, that it's not true, that they don't know if it's true or not, or that they want people to ejaculate on their chests? Because that would really be fantastic if someone could supply something more official.

So is there actually going to be any form of new content in this release or is it essentially a port of the SNES Chrono Trigger to the DS format? Because if it's the latter, I see no particular reason to pick it up: I'm sure the DS control scheme would add a new layer to the gameplay, but my Playstation version of CT is just fine and dandy (not to mention plenty cheaper) when it comes to playing the original game.

However, if there is new content included...well, I'm not sure how I'd feel about that. On the one hand, it's entirely possible that SquareEnix will tarnish a masterpiece by including some new story element out of left field. On the other hand, hell, it's Chrono Trigger. I'm not sure if SquareEnix could ruin CT if they tried.

Right. Because these threads where it's just a bunch of people enabling sticky-keys without any actual proof aside from something that even I could photoshop blindfolded, they're just a tad annoying.

Even if it's a remake, you know we'd all buy it anyway, and anyone who didn't would be looked down upon and laughed at most heartily.
