Recommend a gamepad.

So I was thinking of getting a gamepad for my PC, and I was wondering if anyone here could recommend some good ones?

I'm thinking in terms of button layout, controller shape and analog stick reliability.

Thanks for the help.

The xbox 360 pad. The D-pad is useless, but everything else is comfortably placed and works really well. Highly recommended.

Thanks.

Does it work with PC then?

Yup, Just a USB connection (if you get the wired one. Wireless requires a dongle)

There's a controller you can get now (don't honestly remember who makes it) that swaps between DualShock and 360 style (the D-Pad and left analog flip). I played it the other day and it was beasty, I need to pick one up.

I recommend getting a PS2 controller adapter. Its $10 at any Radio Shack, and most Wal-Marts sell some form of it.

Why pay $60 for a X360 controller when you can use that PS2 controller you have lying around?

Well, if he's going to be doing that, then there's no better controller to drop money on that an Intec Stormchaser if he hasn't already. It's got 2 extra buttons, is fully programmable, has an awesome autofire rate, and is ergonomically designed to totally spoil you to anything else, except maybe MadCatz models (but those have a lesser autofire and a tendency to break).

The money spent/potentially wasted certainly depends on what Zanfib already owns.

I myself prefer the Dualshock2 as my game pad. I like it more for !FPS, and a mouse+keyboard will defeat the 360 controller (or any console controller usually) for those.

A PS3 controller would also work, but its about 5 times as expsnesive as a PS2 Adapter. It also has a shitty D Pad for fighters, but I doubt thats an issue for PCs.

Thank you for the suggestions.
