Tales of Symphonia 2
Opening Cinematic
I loved the first one, and am very excited for the second one. I look forward to seeing the old characters and playing as the new ones and hopefully the Wii controls are fun, but not overdone. |
The sequel to Tales of Symphonia, aka the clichéest RPG ever, is one of the many many Wii titles that are going to make me broke this holiday. :(
I for one cannot wait. Have any reports come out saying how long is it? |
Dunno, just saw cinematic and wanted to share...
I honestly don't care if something is cliche as long as it kicks ass... Which it will... |
I hope this one has more full blown cinematics during the game. That was probably the one thing that disappointed me about the first one.
But: Excited either way :D! |
Yeah, I did feel kinda ripped off when it turned out there were like, three total anime cinematics in the first one...
|
Whenever I see the trailers and stuff for this game I always get intrigued. The ending of the first one seemed pretty final, although a sequel does seem pretty interesting at this point. I just wanna see where this goes, really, because it's looking pretty good so far.
Plus I think I remember something with a picture of Kratos, although my memory could be faulty. That would be awesome if he comes back somehow, considering the ending of the first game. And I have to throw in my agreement over the cinematics in the first one. They touted them on the box a little bit, and all we got was, like, 2 minutes of animation. Kinda underwhelming, really... |
I hear Kratos is going to be narrating the whole story. He won't make a direct appearance, but he'll be involved. But that's all speculation.
On another note, the gamecube version was the one with few cgs. The PS2 version had many more, as well as other stuff. We get left out naturally. But yeah, I'm stoked for it. I don't own a Wii, but my girlfriend does, because I gave her my copy of ToS. So it will be fun. |

This is one of the games that's prevented me from selling my Wii. I hope it's good (which it will be). |
People have actually been playing this and posting impressions on the official Tales boards and Neogaf and what I'm getting from those is that it's an ok game but kind of halfassed in some areas and has an almost irredeemably awful first hour. Has multiple endings though. Hi-Ougis aren't as impressive as the other games imo, but Decus's is hilarious.
It has mo-cap too which is a first in this series I think. Big post here which explains some of the pros and cons of the game (beware spoilers though). |
