I don't know why there is so much negative outcry. They had me sold when I learned Bloody Mess was gonna be in this game.

And when I saw someone explode after being shot with a teddy bear? It was like everything in the universe made sense.

I shall go through all of Fallout 3 committing mass murders with a teddy bear gun.

There's negative outcry because Oblivion sucked and Fallout ruled. This is going to be Oblivion with guns and a paintjob.

That said, they're fixing (or sound like they're fixing) a lot of the major problems with Oblivion, so even if it's terrible next to the other games it should still be pretty fun in it's own right.

Yeah, it just won't be Fallout. It'll be The Elder Scrolls: Wasteland. Which, as was said, can be fun in it's own way, but it just won't be Fallout.

See I understand what you're saying but this is all sounding entirely too familiar. For example.

So I'm willing to hear and see them out before deciding if Fallout 3 is a stain on the Fallout name.

As much as I hate to say it I have to agree with Mirai on this one, everything they've shown seems to be in line with Fallout 1&2 except from a 1st/3rd perspective instead of top down. Heck my biggest worry was addressed when they showed that anytime you could pause and go from manual aiming to the old pick a point to shoot at, which will cause is effect because I'm frickin tired of games that don't acknowledge a leg/arm shot as anything more then hp loss.

Damn it, do you see what you guys are doing to me and h4x? You're making us get along! You have to stop this madness!

I really enjoyed Fallout 1 and 2, and I am very excited about this one. It gives me a STALKER vibe, and that cant be a bad thing.

That is exactly what i said when i saw it on G4...
I really don't really think that it will be a bad game. They have been working for years on this the only way they can really screw it up is if they run out of cash.
