Anyone read Captain SNES?

Has anyone read this comic? I really seem to like it, has an indepth story and plot that hopefully will continue on for awhile.

EDIT: Oh yeah, you can see it over at http://captainsnes.keenspace.com

*Raises hand* I do. Great comic. I like the plot and constant story mostly, and I like the style of humor as well. I used to be active on the forum, but not so much anymore.

If you want to get into Captain SNES, you will need to start form the beginning, or you will have no idea what is going on...

Yeah I post on the forum but not much. I started reading fairly early in the comic but no way in hell could you start from where JayDee is at the current point of story and know what is going on.

Without a doubt, one of my favorite comics. Great story, great humor, great characters, the whole shebang. It and 8-bit tie for my favorite sprite comics, though for different reasons. 8-bit you can pick up mostly anywhere and enjoy the jokes, though you might not know where the story is, it's easy to follow. Cap. SNES is so full of complicated (and numerous) story lines that you need a guide to get through them... But it's worth it. Definately worth killing off a day or two to get through the archives. Now only if he would update more often...

I love it. I just started CSNES in December, I think, and joined the new stable board. Mt favorite part was when Magus got defeated by a Goomba.

"No, Mario! Too long have I been silent; too long my people oppressed! Now I stand up for justice! For I am--
BRAVESHROOM!
Neither Man nor Turtle shall rule us shrooms! They may take our lives! But they shall never take... our freedom! Now, if you'll excuse me... I have a people to liberate. Viva la resistance!"

The whole Magus/Mario storyline was my absolute favorite. Magus in the frog suit... Classis.

Start from there and read a few of those issues and tell me it's not gold. So I can call you a liar. :p

No, I could not say that it isn't totally, awesomely, absodoodley good, for that would be an offence that should be hangable for.

Sweet Christmas, it's stupid fresh!

I do. Not often though. Daily I read enough, weekly I read more and overall my brain explodes every month from trying to read all the comics I read. 8bit, S*P, Sluggy, BnG, Dragon-Tails, Irregular, CNES, On a table, that one by the kerrigan clone, MM: lost chronicle...the list goes on and on...soon enough I'll be working on a daily comic of my own.

-Blink-Uhhhh...what?

I find Captain SNES to be disturbing, really. I mean, that zombie thingy person...that's not from a SNES game; It's from the RPGMaker 2000! And the incessant amount of swearing...look at 8BT and see how well Brian gets the point across with swearing only every-one-in-a-while. Personally, I believe it's possible to get the point across about anything without swearing, though some people might find you strange...like the hugsome, k-legged flowermungers across the street. Not to mention I see no plot in it; it looks like a bunch of jabs to get laughs from the above-mentioned swearing. All the Links? Also, for trying to be a Captain NES sequel, he sure does break a lot of the rules. "The Weakest Link" wasn't even a video game, much less part of the Nintendo universe. Same can be applied to Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger(all Squaresoft's property, not Nintendo's). And since when do the world rules of a particular video game apply to people? In the original Captain N, there were no "game rules" to follow; they acted pretty much like normal humans, save they were video game characters. "Homage to Captain N" my flatzoot.
Well, that's why I dislike CSNES.

Wait, why am I writing this here? I should write it in their forums.

Edit: If my arguement seems half-assed and makes no sense, it's a direct reflection of my interpretation of the comic.
