Sequels that should be made
 

Well, I've always wondered what you chaps thought about sequels to games. There are very few games I'm actually interested in seeing sequels too (Mainly because *gasp* I'm not a HUGE gamer, I play a few MMO's, and like some classics, but I'm not so into video games as I know you guys are).

The only games I can think I'd want sequels to are Final Fantasy 7 (There was so much substance in that storyline, and there is a lot yet unresolved and a lot more to expound upon. I'd really like to see it all come to fruition) and Chrono Trigger (Cross was really good, so I'd like to actually see another sequel!).

I know the Lunar series probably has high demand too, but I heard the last game they released was kind of meh.

Thoughts?

Seriously, all I want is Vagrant Story 2 done by Matsuno and nobody else (certainly not Nomura), The World Ends With You/It's a Wonderful World 2, Pikmin 3, and dear God Chrono Break just what the hell is up with S-E?

As for the Final Fantasy VII remake/sequel? Wii or bust. I'm not kidding.

I'd rather see an FF7 remake on the PS3 done right (fix the obvious plotholes, connect things to Crisis Core, don't bother connecting anything to Advent Children because CC was much better, update the graphics, but otherwise don't significantly change the story.)

I really would prefer the remake over the sequel because right now with its choppy lego-blocks graphics FF7 is arguably even more unplayable than a 2D SNES-era FF. Don't get me wrong, for its time FF7 was absolutely revolutionary in terms of its graphics, but it's aged far worse than FF8 or FF9.

I really want a KOTOR sequel (KOTOR III, not KOTOR MMO) to resolve all the bullcrap with Revan and the "True Sith" that hasn't been resolved yet.
Also, I can't wait for Suikoden VI to come out.
You know what else we need? A 2D platformer that's the spiritual successor to Castlevania: SOTN.
Finally, while it will never happen, I'd love an MGS prequel in which you controlled The Boss / The Joy in World War II. It's probably the only WW2-theme action game I'd want to play seeing how Medal of Honor and Call of Duty beat it to death.

Bioshock is certainly deserving of a sequel, but I'm not sure that such a good storyline could be expounded upon any further (stole your word). When I first played it I loved every second of it, but the shortness of the game kept me wanting more fun.

I really miss the old side scroller Metroid games, and I wish they would play off of Fusion's plot a little bit, just for continuity purposes. Metroid has always been a favorite of mine, and I never get tired of playing the old stuff, but it is always a treat to see the game get a touch up.

I'll think of some more, although most of the games I play are the types that seem to have neverending sequels on many platforms that rarely do the game justice.

Illusion of Gaia and Secret of Evermore

Maybe more multiplayer and a few extra ways to play with a friend but in SoE, I really liked the alchemy system. I'd love to see it in one more game.

I'll just leave a mention of GOLDEN SUN 3.

I'd also like to see Final Fantasy 4: The After come to American shores and not on cellphones.

Dirge of Cerberus was a sequel to FF7. =D

Past that, I, too, would love to see FF7 redone with awesome graphics and translated to make sense. Also with the AC voice cast, because damn they did good with the casting! Hopefully, it would include Emerald and Ruby WEAPON as were added for the American release, but also would add back the Test 0 battle(s) to the bottom of that stupid well in Corel Prison. Because they fascinate me.


Also, a sequel for The Legend of Dragoon, because it was an awesome game and I'd love to see the mechanics again. Hopefully with a better translation staff, but the same awesome-sauce motion capture actors, because those two were amazing.

Final Fantasy 7 is the last game I would say needs more media. I mean there is already like a million things related to it.

Where's my Grim Fandango 2! I demand it.
