Fire Emblem
 

For those of you that play Fire Emblem for Game Boy Advance, I decided to make a thread to see what classes others prefer. It's not a poll, more of a discussion.

I would post my favorite class if I were far enough into the game, but sadly, I'm not that far. So I'll say something later.....alot later.

You cant really pick just one.. i mean, each is really good in different situations. But if I had to choose, i'd pick swordmaster or general.

btw, how do you get the pirate to change class?

My favorite is Paladin, because they can use axes, lances, and swords, and have a good movement range. They also have a very high attack and defense. That all adds up to a really good unit from my perspective.

As for a berserker...
You need the ocean seal to upgrade a pirate to berserker status. To get it you'll need to get all your lords levels to add up to 50, then get a member's card, and then get 50,000 gold to buy an ocean seal in a secret vendor in a special version of chapter 23. This is located in the lower left-hand corner of the map. Or just walk around Merlinus' spot with a theif until you find your buried treasure in chapter 22.

My favorite would be Valkarie, because they can use Anima Staffs, Heal themselves and others and have the BEST movement in the game aside from Pegesi. At least Pricilla does. But with that said, I can't just say one class myself because I love Pegesus Knights to death. Those things can get so strong....and they can move so far its maddenning. Equip them with a shrt lance (the throwing lance) and they just eat everything besides bowmen.

And then there's Mages...which I got Erk up to lvl 20 Second Class mid game or so and no one touched him till the second to last battle...no lie. His evasion was THAT high.

While there's a thread to Fire Emblem here, let me just announce that IGN said last week that the GC Fire Emblem would be coming to America. I'm stoaked! No release date though.

If I absolutely HAD to choose one all-purpose favorite class, I'd have to go with Hector as a Great Lord. He can take out just about anything, takes no physical damage, and barely gets hurt by magical damage.

I don't really have a favorite class, mainly because it seemed like most classes only had 1-2 characters with that class.

My favorites classes are

Great Lord (Hector), Blade Lord (Lyn), Knight Lord (Eliwood), Swordmaster (Guy), Sage (Erk), Sniper (Rebecca), Druid (Canas), General (Oswin), and Assassin (Jaffar).

I just used those guys for everything.

i liked the generals, cuz they were the only guys who could kick ass in my group.

She can heal herself? How so?

And is there a release date?

Uh, using the upgraded healing staff she can heal anywhere on the map.

And I said no release date for GC version...News about it on IGN though.
