On Thinking about how to make a honest buck

HEY THERE! AGAIN! :D

As i recently struggle to find a decent job and my bank account starts to run a little dry after 4 months, i've started to think on ways to make some cash at home. Not to make a living, but just to turn in some positive income, keep the mind busy, maybe get enough money to go to the movies on a weekend...

So, ofcourse, i have internet, a computer (duh) and a usuable copy of Photoshop... so i thought "Hey, maybe i can make something out of this..."

At first, im taking ideas. Im trying to brainstorm here, maybe come out with something good.

My first idea was going about T-shirts. You know? Geek and Nerdy designs... things i like and can do. Of course, i dont have a goddamn clue on how to start. However, i could see myself desiging Stickers, caps, T-shirts and stuff like that, that people i know would buy.

It mostly falls on the "Funny lines" department, and vectorial basic drawings, but i work with what i got...

So, i was thinking, since here we have a good bunch of people who messed with that sort of stuff or at least know about it, it might be a good place to take a few tips for me and others.

So, how about it, good people?

Ebay.

If you put something on Ebay, no matter what it is, someone will buy it.

I know Ebay is kinda a crappy answer, but why not have an internet based yard sale. Get rid of some of your old stuff you don't use anymore and make a few bucks.

Or, you could just go the dishonest route and knock over a liqueur store.

first off is it big time or small time (for the rest of the post i assume its small time)
If its small ask a friend that has some cash what he wants on a t Shirt (as general or as detailed) If you do General you get more room to make things but if it gets detailed you have to run back and forth for your friend. If you dont have a Friend that has money and wants a shirt. Then you go and try to sell it on eBay (cause crazy people will by anything on ebay) for about the price of the shirt and iron on transfer.

That really doesn't sound like a good way to turn a profit.

Just for the heck of asking... the best and/or only way to actually produce and sell that sort of material ( T-shirts and the such ) is for me to actually buy the T-shirts and make iron on transfer?

Also, as much as i would actually like to sell crap on Ebay the best i got is an Small iron Saber, and an Old Gameboy with Donkey kong that only has Audio if the batteries are new...

There's always selling ad-space on your body. I hear some companies like that kind of stuff. Or you can also go on E-Bay and sell your photoshop services to company's as well. Put up a portfolio of your recent handiwork and see if any one bids on buying your services for X amount of time/projects.

Bellsouth, you live in SP, right? ( I'm Brazilian too ) Take a look at Crescenet, it's something where you get money by doing nothing. Seriously. Basically, it's a dial-up connection that you use and you're using one phone company to dial to another one...So, instead of one company paying to the other, it doesn't pay anything...But! It pays some to you because of a government bill concerning exactly this. You get money for staying connected! My brother plans to start using this here and a friend of his does this...With 8 phone lines on one computer. His profit allows him to pay for all his bills and more. It's great.

Thanks man, i'm actually from Rio (and it's freaking weird to speak with you in english, even here XD) but i'll check it out, i know of a few... i dont know, is it fair to call this a Scheme? But i'll check it out anyways!

Just so you guys have a small idea what i'm saying... it's nothing brillaint or even too new, the stuff i was cooking it's mostly Wordplay and simple images of nerdy cult...

THis is a T-shirt stamp i was working on.

I agree with the weirdness.

I guess it kinda fits with being called a scheme, but it's completely legal. It's not abusing a loophole, it's how it's supposed to be. Having 8+ lines is just an overkill, though.

Also, not a bad stamp. Revert the colors and put it on a black T-shirt and you may have a buyer.

Look into Zazzle.com. It lets you set up online stores for shirts, mugs, and all other kinds of things. They produce and ship it, all you have to do is design it. You'll get a percentage of the money they make from whatever items you sell. You can also refer other products by other people and earn a little bit more. It's not a great deal of money, but it's probably how much you would be left with after producing and shipping yourself anyway, so give it a look.
