Brian, feel particularly giving?

Brian, I just obtained a wp (after much hardship) to the Pheonix server. After I level up a little, would you mind, you know, wandering around a bit with me helping me jack up a little? Even though I've had the game since January, I'm still relatively new at it. I wouldn't want to be a royal pain in the ass, but I could always join one of your clanBob parties and tag along for the experience.

I am able to log on anywhere between 3:30pm and 12:30pm EST if you decide to.

[Edit] And what class would benefit you, I could start off as that.

you know you could have just rerolled constantly til you got to the phoenix server. I did that when I wanted to get to ifrit

Meh, every time I made a new character I ended up in the same server. I assumed it just went that way. Thanks for clearing that up.

why would you want to be power leveled? that takes all the fun out of MMORGS. Get a character, get him up to a nice and high level, then ask brian if he wants to play with you. Don't powerlevel man, its lame.

Xeno14 04-05-2004 04:42 PM

You can't powerlevel in FF. I tried it with one of my buddies from school to help him reach my level. He was only getting the same amount of xp I was on even fights

well theres a way you can powerlevel. it basically involves a white mage or some high level person curing you and such while your group fights mobs much tougher than you'd normally be able to handle. its hard to find someone thats willing to do that (since they get nothing out of it) and its also hard for them since they cant see everyones hp at once, and therefore have a hard time healing the right people in time.

basically, its easier to level by yourself till you get up to level 10 or so and then can start joining parties.

what nation are you aligned to bob? and whats your job?

The Tortured one 04-05-2004 05:40 PM

ok, glad that was clarified. I thought he was trying to have brian P/L him. I've seen it a crapload in Everquest and i think its lame. Assisting the random newbie while passing by is fine, but going out of your way to powerlevel? some of my fondest EQ memories are the ones that were the most challenging.

Sometimes you don't know who they are powerleveling though. Some people might just be rolling an alt. I know my guildies and I had a ton of alts that were max level in DAoC. If someone called me a newbie, I'd say that I had the oldest active hero on the igraine, and I was far from a newbie. I powerleveled 2 of my guildies alts to level 50, while they did some powerleveling of 2 of my alts to 50. We all had a few level 50s already

I couldn't powerlevel you because I've only got melee jobs and therefore no ability to heal others. Plus, I'm finding that I spend more time looking for a group than actually playing, so I'm probably going to cancel my account by the end of the week.

Bob The Mercenary 04-05-2004 06:54 PM

Aw damn. There goes my reason for playing. :D Bah, I'll just level up on my own and try to figure out the layout of all these damn towns.

Btw, I am San d'Orian (or something like that), elf, and I play any class I feel like playing on a particular day. And I didn't want to powerlevel, just get high enough to be able to actually defend myself when traveling.
