So, how many of us were shocked about S-E's action here?

It was only a matter of time. It would have been stupid of Square-Enix ignore such a large userbase in the 360. Expect the same thing to happen to VersusXIII.

Well as I recall, I've heard Vs13 may arrive on the 360. I hear that the PS3 has no S-E exclusive...

No surprise here either. S-E seems to favour the strongest. It would be on the Wii, but FFs have to be pretty so it's not really in the race. Therefore multiplatform between 360 and PS3 is a no brainer really seeing how close the two are. I am surprised they're bothering with an Asian 360 version though.

There is no FF13 on XBox for japan, in Japan, it's PS3 only. And it was already confirmed, Vesus is exclusive to the PS3 and Agito is now on the PSP.

Also it was said be SE itself that they are not working on the 360 Version of FF13 yet. They will finish the PS3 version, then, when they get the Dev Kit, they will port it to the 360.

It makes business sense right now, and the PS3 owner isnt loosing nothing with that, so it's not that much of a bombshell really

That's weird. I thought they already had 360 dev kits, considering The Last Remnant is a 360 exclusive.

What is the supposed surprise about a high-profile developer making a super-budget game for both of the two standard formats available? I never heard about S-E and Sony having any sort of exclusive deal. >_>

I'll never forgive them for betraying the company that carried and nurtured them through half the Final Fantasy franchise, and refuse to buy any numbered FF game released after they turned their backs on their home of so many years.

Thus, I haven't bought a game in the series since VI.

Oh ho, it seems this move isn't unprecedented at all!
