Call of Cthulhu RP: The Corbitt House...
 

As Dave, Tommy, Paul, Jospeh (Bet you all forgot Dr DR was there...), and Neil investigated the basement, suddenly there was a horrible thumping upstairs. It sounded like someone or something in one of the upper rooms being beat on loudly, or beating on the floor loudly. The noise was clearly hearable to all, and as they looked at each other, they wondered if the noise had any intention of stopping or what it was, and if they should invetigate...

Tommy froze as he heard the sound.

"I have a bad feeling about this..."

"I think it's time we get home now," Paul said in a slightly scared voice. He stood still, but he let the suggestion come out anyway.

"Thank you captian obvious." Neil removed the safety on his gun, and brought it to ready position. "Lets get moving."

Without another word, Tommy bolted up the stairs. He wasn't going to stick around any longer than he had to.

"Shouldn't we go see what is making that noise?" Dave asked, not exactly sure why everyone was so scared. They all had guns after all.

On the first floor of the house, it becomes immediatly obvious that the noise is coming from upstairs in one of the bedrooms.

"I'd rather go back to the mansion than upstairs," Paul said as he moved quickly toward the front door.

Tommy raised an eyebrow.

"You do have a point Dave... so you go up with me."

"Ok, fine." Dave said as he made his way to the first floor, then started to climb the stairs to the second.
