He was going to call the good old doctor, but then stopped. He said it himself earlier, he didn't know much on the subject, only that it would probably be a sorcerer that we were dealing with.

Unsure what to do himself, he sat around for about an hour until he decided to check up what the others were doing in this time. That was when he came upon Frankie, who was looking through a book.

With nothing else to do at the moment, he unknowingly asked the same question as someone earlier had done. "Frank, any progress?"

Dave just sat around, moaping in the chair he was sitting in. He was scared of the demons and ghost and all of those ghost stories he had heard, now assuming them all to be true, but he wasn't going to leave this group. If he encounters more bleeding houses, he wants to be with people who know how to stop it.

(OOC: well, when Lazy asked it hadn't been an hour yet... so I'll just assume you pushed forward the clock for everyone, Ecurt... seeming as everyone else is being lazy anyway, and so they don't count.)

Frankie set down the book when Henry asked him and nodded. "Actually I found a ritual in here on summoning and controlling a beast... it'd take me at least a week to be able to perform it however."

He then looked around at everyone else. "Why are you all just sitting here? There's a dead man in that house and some 'beast that waits in the dark' wants him there. I say that's reason enough that we go into the basement, find the body, and destroy it."

Truce 04-06-2004 09:50 PM

"Wait, wait, wait. Back up. Did you say a beast? I thought we were dealing with a sorcerer. What is this beast you're talking about?"

ooc I am... An usually that is a very bad thing...
"I will study this for a while but I might need some help with some translating anyone care to help?" Marcus said to the two who were talking about the summon ritual

Krylo 04-07-2004 12:09 AM

Frankie grinned at Henry. "Well, it's apparently some sort of murderous half-insect half-monkey thing. But... it says here that the creature only appears for an hour and then vanishes... so there shouldn't be one in the house. It seems rather useful, however, he was able to make it follow one command before it vanished back to where-ever it came from."

Marcus interrupted at about that point, so Frankie turned toward him and shook his head. "I'd help if I could, but I don't know any other languages. You said the thing is in latin? I think Father Ted was talking about knowing latin... You should go ask him. Or you could call Dr. Armitage and bring it to the library, he'd probably help you."

"If we are dealing with a ghost, the church believes all you have to do is bury the corpse in hallowed ground. I'll come along so I can sanctify the grave. That should take care of a ghost. But what do we do if we aren't dealing with a ghost." Ted sat forward and folded his hands in front of him. there was a scowl on his face. "The police records said that the leader of the cult escaped, right Franklyn?"

Krylo 04-07-2004 07:20 AM

Frankie nodded an affirmative at Father Ted's question. "I'm not sure if he was the leader, but the 'Pastor' that buried Corbitt escaped. According to the reports he fled the state, but he might have come back I suppose." A shiny pistol slid out of Frankie's coat and he grinned. "If it's just a cultist I know how to handle that." The gun was replaced and then Frankie fell silent for just a second before jolting up with an after-thought, "Oh, and please, call me Frankie."

Squishy Cheeks 04-07-2004 08:34 PM

"Will do Frankie. I think You all should go to the general store and pick up some necessary equipment like shovels and pick axes. While Frankie and I go to my church and get some other supplies."

Father O'Hanrahan stood.

"Or does anyone have a better idea?"

Truce 04-08-2004 12:10 AM

Henry contemplated calling Dr. Armitage again, but shook his head. " I don't think the doctor can give us much more information than he already has. However, I'll go check with the man anyway, with the book of course.

"Anyway...Father, I don't think I have any other ideas right now, but do we have anything to protect us in case something dangerous was in there? I...would rather not be so foolish as to not have a backup plan. Not with something like this, at least."
