"I'm here for you." John said and shot one of the raiders harrasing Scott. "I will cover you."

(OOC) Nope.

The thrity new fighters fell onto the Raiders with abandon. First they used a large missile barrage to damage and break up the enemy formations, then went after them, each wing pair staying togeather and supporting each other. The Firestorm hung back, it's guns a little too slow to be much help agenst fighters, but able to move in case a big ship came in for an attack.

Truce 04-18-2004 07:00 PM

He sighed with relief as the raiders around him were shot down quickly. Finally...

They were saved, and the mission was over, everything was okay now, except... Gabe. Are you dead? He couldn't be sure, he hadn't had time to glance down at his radar, and now with all the friendly ships out there right now to be sure.

He had never had to deal with someone's death before, not recently at least, and it was odd, he didn't know how to feel. In the end, he simply turned his fighter around and accelerated back to the carrier; it was long past time for him to have had his StarWing repaired. Heh, I guess we're not going to do the exercise today, he thought bittersweetly.

"Wuhuu! We win this one you stinky raiders! Is everyone ok? So...who do you think won this one?" John started heading back to the carrier.

darkt0aster 04-19-2004 01:37 PM

"Wow that was over quick. My ship is still in working order...mostly, but I guess it'd be best left to these fighters to get Gabe...if he's still out there." Scott sighed and piloted his ship towards the carrier. "As for the whole bet thing...It's hard to say, we'll just figure it out after the debreifing."

Truce 04-19-2004 08:18 PM

ooc-Flare, I'll edit anything in the post that I need to.

Maybe for the people who had barely been shot at during the battle this would have been considered as easy, but that was still no excuse for the attitude John and Scott had; they seemed to act as if the whole battle had been another battle sim, and they were still talking about that stupid bet.

Though he was the youngest, he fully understood what had happened and the consequences of the battle could and probably would be. Lucky for John and Scott that Truce didn't hear them; he would have gotten back into his ship and shot them down for being so ignorant. Well...maybe that's an exaggeration, but not a big one.

As he docked his shipped, he got out and let the repair crew do their job - he wanted to get updated on the battle situation. Not wanting to distract the mechanics, he decided to head for the bridge, where he was sure the instructor, and a full status report, would be.

The Raider that was attempting to get a missile lock on Inyri was one of the first destroyed, and the rest was mostly mopping up, so Grey Squadren recieved the recall order. Inyri did a quick check over who all was left, and didn't see two on her sensors.

Osterbaum 04-20-2004 10:30 AM

"Well...Are we missing someone?" John said as he started to worrie a bit.

Flarecobra 04-21-2004 06:26 AM

(OOC) Who all's left?

darkt0aster 04-21-2004 09:14 AM

OOC: I'm still here, ship has some damage, but nothing critical. I know that Gabe (Bob The Mercenary) is probably one of the missing...also one or more lost their comm system, but their ship(s) should still show up on radar.

IC: "Some appeared to lose their comm system, but I think Gabe may have caught it more severely. I haven't seen or heard from him for the past few minutes."
