The time of Heavy is upon us...

so far 8/12 has revealed that one of my favored custom maps is now going to every one...i cant wait for the weapons info...

So it's like a week of updates? I dunno whether to be very happy or very, very sad.

Because we'll have to download each update in turn.

I could always wait until Friday to download them all at once, but that would suck.

...Still, I'm looking forward to seeing the upgrades. Despite the fact that I've never been hugely into Heavy, I've always been hugely into Medic. Hopefully the heavy will get like, "Keep your friend the Medic from dying forever" gun. Or a shotgun of a similar variety. Or maybe fingerpaints!

They don't release an update every day, they just tell us a different thing about what they're going to put in the single update which they release Tuesday.

I'm going to try to get a look at that community map before the patch goes up so's I know what's what. I'm looking forward to the new payload map, I haven't seen a custom payload worth spit so it's been Goldrush and nothing for my favorite game type so far.

I wonder what new gametype is? I hope it's an attack/defend type.

It's always a Attack/Defend type with ctf its just both at once...

Also i played steel its really cool...there is a spot for the attacking sniper to do some Real good with little threats spots where the sentry gun can hold back almost everything makes the scouts useful for a while... this guy goes into more detail
I'm now giddy for weapon details

So assuming that each individual Heavy weapon is a single days unveiling... what are the other two? My guess is an animated short for one of them.

I think it goes like this:
1: Community Map
2: Payload map
3: New game type
4: Heavy unlocks/achievements
5: Meet The X
6: PATCH DAY WOOO

Possibly Meet The X is on Patch day and heavy unlocks and achievements are on consecutive days. I think it's the pyro video this time?

Valve has stated before that there is no Meet the X with this update, as they were working entirely on content to get it out as soon as possible.

If they trick us and show one up randomly then I will kick the dirt and apologize. >.>

Its gonna be a Sniper and Spy field day on next Tuesday.
