I never even played Max Payne, and I know that ain't right.

the first one he looks like he is searching for his contact lens... but on the second one, he looks like he is.. smilling?

Well... I mean... it could be worse, right? It could be like Hitman! It ain't so bad! Maybe the whole angelic thing is somehow connected to the Norse mithology in the first game and... and...

EDIT: God, was I ever wrong. Just saw Mila Kunis with a submachinegun there. All hope is lost. Run to the hills.

Is he carrying two sawed-off shotguns in the first one? If so, I don't HATE it. It's not great but I don't hate it.

I don't get the second one. Probably a reference to the whole "flesh of fallen angels" bit from Address Unknown (it's a noir TV show in the game that's as gritty as the actual game's plot and parallels the plot a little bit), except, like, whoever made it just heard the angels bit and not the fallen bit. As far as him smiling he just sort of looks asleep or content, which is the exact opposite of what he always looks like. The only time he EVER smiles is when he's hit absolute rock bottom so I'd only expect it at the end of the second movie (if they're actually following the plot).

i guess we can say that the trailers talk loads more than the Posters

Regarding Mila Kunis, couldn't she have at least TRIED to look like Mona Sax? Put her hair up, maybe? Talk about lack of effort on the part of the people who do the wardrobes. Sure, she can never be as cool as the real [fake] Mona Sax, but she could at least try to fool us.

I'm going with a "The flesh of fallen angels" vibe, but I still don't like it.

Sigh.

There go my theories about reviving video game movies.

Hmmmmm. I look at those posters and I don't think Max Payne. They actually remind me a lot more of Indigo Prophecy for some reason. Could just be me though.
