"Again with the 'Greenie'?" Donnel muttered to himself crossly, staring at his feat.
"Erm, I mean..." He straightened up quickly. "Don't worry about Weiss; we can come back for him later. He isn't going anywhere." Donnel chuckled. "As opposed to our friends on the other ship..." He ran over to the Wyvern, stroking her across the muzzle fondly. "Don't worry; I won't let anyone do that you again. I'll keep you perfectly safe." He climbed onto the saddle, holding out a lance gallantly. "To the skies! The wyvern began to run forward, her wings beating powerfully. As he began to rise, Donnel called down to the rest of the team. "Try and close the gap between the ships! Then you can attack! I can provide the cover!" He began to fly forward rapidly, speeding toward the pirate's ship. This was just like being in the military again. "Why did I leave again...?" |
Things were heating up quickly. Adrenaline began pumping through Zeiss' veins. Noticing that the two ships were getting ready to board each other, he began to prepare for an imminent attack.
|
"No, we shouldn't attack the enemy ship, they're with me.....more or less." Durran said after hearing "greenie's" shouts. "They will help us, what we should do is try and board the other ship as quickly as possible. Dont stay and try to kill them all," He said glancing at the authorative merc. "and we're not leaving Weiss. One of them will get him."
Durran glanced at the other ship. It seemed ready to board. He pulled weiss in view and Durran stood near the front of the group so the others didnt attack them. |
"It ain't exactly an enemy ship if it's on our side, now is it?" Jeremy quipped. "But if ya say Weiss'll be taken care of... Then I guess I don't have much more reason to linger here."
He stepped out from the relative safety of the door frame the party had come from and looked around. The sea stretched endlessly in every direction and he didn't exactly have a clue where he was now, so he was grateful to have some alleged support in the form of the other ship. Although... with this ship as big as it was, it was a surprise he hadn't even seen, much less run into, any other crewmen aboard. What was going on, he had to wonder... Regardless, everything up here seemed to be taken care of for the moment, and so he deigned to enjoy the view until he could board the other ship. |
Wow...wyverns look pretty cool up close. He stepped out from the door and preemptively drew an arrow, waiting for the word "Go!". Even though he wasn't sure who was supposed to do that now. He just knew it wasn't him.
|
Soldiers started to crowd the outside and a man in ornate armor stepped off the navigational deck. He looked to the group through his dragon helmet. "So, the prisoners thought they could get away, eh? Thought they could be a little brave. Well think again. FLEE NOW! FLEE! HA HA HA HA HA!" He laughed walking towards them. Carrying a large platinum looking spear.

Donnel looked down at Durran mockingly. "Help us will they? Help us into an early grave maybe, like they did Weiss." He called, his voice hard. "I've got just the thing for us to do."
Lasheth, guided by Donnel's knees, swooped down, shrieking violently. Lance out, he dove right at an archer, landing with the full force of the dive. Without checking to see if he had hit or not, Donnel pulled out of the dive, winging his way through the air. He called out to the opposing commander. "You can consider that a declaration of hostilities!" He barked, letting the sounds of the following laughter echo across the water. |
"I knew there were more 'a you bastards lyin' around somewhere!" Jeremy shouted accusingly. He looked onward at the figure of Donnel on his wyvern and wondered what retreating would do for "us". No point in worrying about that now though, as there was no telling just when the other ship could "help" them, and the enemy was closing in on them fast... what else could he do?
He drew his sword once again and pointed it, unflinching in his resolve. "So yer in charge here, eh, ya great tin-canned lout? Who do you think you are, tossing us in prison fer no reason and then gettin' offended when we think to excuse ourselves!?" "You listen and listen good - I'm a mercenary, and I don't like to fight for free. I had to kill one guy and help kill four others to get out here, so I figure you owe me about 200 gold each. But if ya let us go unharmed I think I'll be willing to let the bill slide just this once!" |
Rachel just stood around, watching everything that passed by in these past few seconds blankly. To begin with, the whistle blew, and something about it.... it just made her shiver. The simple sound of it, the markings on hr shirt seemed to shake about, and her skin stood on end, waiting for it to get out of her mind, echoing in there beyond her control. It burst in there, which about ended the sudden effect it had on her, appearing and making their passage sort-of clear.
She moved a bit, almost silently in the back, looking a bit and wondering where she was moving, walking around near the front of the group to get a better view almost without realizing it. Their plan seemed almost clear, board the other boat. Its all clear from here, now, lets... crap.... "Well this sucks." Rachel stood there, watching the other ship, that was supposedly their ally, but also watched the many knights close in on them. "Well, damnit. Anybody have any sort of ideas on what to do?" |
The man laughed at Jeremy. "Frankly, I don't know what the Grand Marshal wants with you, but I am to make sure none of you die. He didn't say I couldn't rough you up though." Lifting up the visor showed a pale face, a large scar across his eyes. The creepy thing was, his eyes were completely white, like he had gone completely blind. Walking up towards Jeremy, his hulking form looked over the smaller man.
Teeth showing with sharp canines, he lifted the spear and spun it with ferocity. Activate: Eclipse! Back and forth he smacked Jeremy from side to side. Last strike, he spun and sent the blunt edge into his chest, sending the mercenary into the railing. Though miraculously he was still alive! Self Activation: Mercy If only just barely. Laughing again, he looked at the others. "Anyone else want to play?" Pirate Ship "Captain! There's a wyvern rider coming towards us!" One of the crew shouted back. The sniper jumped back from the wyvern and rider. Eleanor ran forward. "Hey! Hey! Hey! We're on your side!" She shouted at Donnel. So, he's one of the prisoners in the report we got. Putting away her cutlass, she ran up to him. "Stay on here while we take of them!" She told him. Another one of the crew ran up to her. "We're almost within docking range and the men are ready. Good to go, Captain!" |
