Oh bad. Kiran thought, even before the first blow fell. He looked toward the other ship, not close enough yet.
The blonde’s gaze came back to the heavily armoured enemy, in time to see him throw Jeremy away. He's the biggest problem...he thought, can I even hurt him through that? It must be-The Light mage's eyes widened. The other mage happened to be at his side, a short whisper, "Watch your eyes, strike beneath him." He whispered, putting his faith in the destructive powers of both Elder and Anima, and that she'd be smart enough to understand. Without wasting more then a few seconds drawing in power, he thrust his arm out and sent out the strongest burst of power he could, through his tome. Light! A golden-white flare of magic exploded from him, harmless enough, but bright enough to leave some eyes seriously hurting. Especially the Dragoon Lord in front of him. |
She grinned, striking beneath him, made sense a little due to her thinking similar things, though watching her eyes did not seem to be anything needed at all. Until the light began coming off of him like it normally did with light magic, making her reflexively flinch, and then the sense of it all snapped in her head. Rachel shielded her eyes with an arm, already drawing in quite some power, and taking in even more in preparation. As soon as she felt safe to let her eyes see the world once again, she let the dark twisting spell loose at him. Well, not at him, but under him, to the far more delicate structure holding him up. Rachel's flux struck the floor all around the dragoon lord, and she heard definite cracks from it. "I hope he likes our little surprise..." she grinned at Kiran, and the stunned knights who were wondering just what the hell the pair of us were doing to him.
Rachel looked back to that spot a bit, her mind racing, Well, this is going to be entertaining.... "Have a nice trip!" She stood back, already imagining the very humorous thoughts of him falling through the floor, all the way to the base of the ship, and maybe, just maybe, through that and drowning completely. |
"Our side?" Donnel asked skeptically, hovering for a moment in the air. "I suppose I can buy it... Just don't try anything funny." He looked at them seriously, and then suddenly, he smirked at them. "I'll be over there," he gestured at the other ship. "They look a lot more fun then you guys." With that, he quickly sped away from the pirates.
He came upon the scene in time to watch the dragoon lord cut down Jeremy. Here was someone he could fight! Donnel could feel his bloodlust rising, this would be an epic fight. "But first... I need to clear the way." With great force of will, he stayed his hand. Diving down toward the ship, instead of preparing his lance for the attack, he gave the command for a very different sort of maneuver. Carefully, he tightened a few straps on his saddle, and loosened a few others. He reached the spot where Jeremy and the armored man were fighting. Suddenly, he flipped over. He was suspended under the wyvern by a series of tight leather straps. As Lasheth glided over the pair of fighters he reached down, pulling up Jeremy forcefully, throwing him unceremoniously over the saddle. Lasheth spun around, flying back over the ocean, out of the reach of the Dragoon lord. "Aren't I the greatest friend you could ever hope to have?" Laughed Donnel, sitting himself upright. |
Felix stood back with the mages. Should I go up, or should I stay here? He watched and cringed as Jeremy was soundly beaten. That armored guy is a serious problem. And I doubt it's one I'd be able to solve. As the mages began to attack the man, Felix suddenly thought that he might rush onto the deck while the man was presumably blinded. Wait, that's stupid. What would I even do once I got there?
So he stayed back, caught in indecision and trying to find some use for himself. Finally, he decided to just attack. He aimed at a seam in the man's armor and stopped. Oh, come on, Felix... what can that possibly accomplish? So he just stood there, feeling useless and keeping a watchful eye out for the supposedly allied ship. |
As expected, the ground below him cracked and creaked before a final CRUNCH and he fell through the floor. Though he didn't exactly seem phased by it as he kept the same grin on his face as his form went into the hole. However, it wouldn't last long until his form leaped back up through the hole and stood in front of the mages. Putting the spear away, he picked them both up by the collars. "I'm going to have so much with you two." He said with a maniacal grin.
To their luck, the pirate ship came up to the side of the warship. Eleanor looked over to that big armored man holding the mages. Throwing her flintlock into the air, she made a high jump and took aim firing it at the armor. Skill Activate: Deadeye "Unhand them Tenner!" She shouted out. The strike at the armor caused him to drop the mages and stumble backwards. "Over here!" Eleanor shouted at the others, setting up a plank for them to run across. "Quickly, get over here!" |
There was the oppurtunity. Felix didn't question it, or wait up; he ran from the sort-of hiding place and sprinted towards the plank, hoping the armored man would either decide he wasn't important or just be otherwise engaged.
|
Donnel bit his lips nervously; he couldn't resist the call of battle. Hurriedly, he handed Jeremy off to one of the pirates, and then began speeding back towards the battle.
As he got close to Tenner he gave the command, calling out to his wyvern. Screeching, Lasheth began to furiously break with her wings, slowing them down rapidly. As this was happening, he released his javelin sending it hurtling towards the Dragoon Lord. He grinned at him bloodlessly. "So pal, you want to give me a try?" He asked him, flourishing his new spear. "I've brought down armies; I can handle a fat man wrapped in metal." He held out his lance in the ready, smiling at him. At the same time Lasheth kept them slightly airborne, giving him the advantage over his opponent. Skill Activation: Vantage |
An excellent exercise in futility. Kiran thought bitterly, landing nimbly on his feet and running toward to other ship, and apparently the Markswoman-like shooter.
When he had time to look back on it, he'd probably think to wonder where in the hell the woman had gotten such a weapon, or what even it was. But, given the circumstance, decided to let it go for the time being. Of course, since he wasn't sure how safe he was, the blond began to gather his magical energy again. That last spell had drained him a bit, but a few light arrows weren't too much to ask. |
Rachel grinned as he fell through the floor, just as she had imagined it. Everything was going perfectly, though there wasn't nearly as much crashing as she would have thought there would have been. This ticks me off. Now honestly, there should have been a lot more smashing going on. Really, I wanna- And then she was in the air, practically chocking and staring down the person who somehow jumped up from the floor below with seemingly no effort whatsoever. Well..... shit. Rachel really had nothing to say, she could barely get anything out even if she wanted to, the strangling and terror combined for a nice stunning effect.
Her eyes were wide, time seemed to warp past her, yet pass excruciatingly slow, so it seemed to take forever to reach the point where she was dropped, but once she did, it felt like she had gone through it dazed. She couldn't land straight, but the fall onto her ass jolted her back to reality, so to speak. Well, not quite to reality so to speak, but enough to get her to her feet and to scramble away from the big bad guy who was about to torture her. Although, her world was spinning, and the fact that everybody else was yelling at her to get he to run didn't help at all with her understanding of the situation. Instead of scrambling away from the lord and to the safety of the other ship, she instead ran onwards in the opposite direction, charging a spell and unleashing it on the ground on which all the knights stood, making sure to weaken it, and hopefully, she would have the results on them that she didn't get with the lord. As she did this, she stopped, looking around in a panic, realizing that she no longer had any clue where she was headed. It took quite a bit of Rachel standing there, her gaze frantically going everywhere, unable to even sort out anything she was hearing. Eventually though, she found where the plank was, and made a dash for it, though very wobbly in her dash due to her inability to tell where everything was anymore. |
Standing up from the hit, his armor was pretty dented from that shot. It stunned him, but it hadn't put him to sleep as was intended. He looked up at the wyvern knight and huffed. Casually, he flicked away the attack like it was nothing. No Damage! "I'll show you a real dragon BOY!" He shouted out. Whistling, a loud roar was heard and a shadow blacked out the sun. Leaping into the air, he landed on top of a massive wyvern. Wearing ornate armor much like his own, it was a deep crimson. "I suggest you flee!" He shouted out laughing.
Well, she didn't get exactly what she wanted, but she hit the railing causing it to shatter. One of the poor knights who was leaning against it fell overboard. Unfortunate bastard to say the least. Though Eleanor ran forward and grabbed Rachel, handing her off to one of the crew. Looking over at Kiran, she shouted out. "Hey, get over here you idiot!" |
