It's On: Campaign Season Begins... But What About You?
 

Tonight Obama gave a rousing speech in my hometown of Denver. Tomorrow or soon after, McCain will counter with one of his own.

Campaign season is upon us, and it will be a great time for America. But then why is this thread here?

I create this thread for one simple purpose:
Create your own campaign.

My campaign is simple:

Under executive authority granted by the Patriot Act, I will have every member of the house, senate, supreme court, and last administration declared enemy combatants and placed under house arrest. I will then hold open elections nation-wide to refill every single spot in the entire government, ending with my own spot. Once my replacement has been found, I'll release all former government members from house arrest.

I have a few random things to say before I get started...

If campaign season is just now starting, then what the hell has been going on for the past year?

Also, I don't really trust Obama. He throws the word change around a lot, all the presidential hopefuls have, but I honestly don't know what he is going to change and that scares me.

Thank god Hillary isn't Obama's VP choice.

With that out of the way...

If I were up for president, I would fight to reallocate at least a portion of our defense budget to the school system while simultaneously fighting to trim the fat off of the government spending across the board.

I would hire teams of actual qualified specialists to help me develop plans to repair our crumbling economy, help fight off the poverty that is gripping many parts of our nation, and try to make a plan to lower and possibly one day to eliminate the national debt.

I would fight to have the emission standards of the US raised to at least triple what they are now by the end of my term, and pass laws giving consumers huge rebates for buying electric cars, and slightly smaller rebates for going with a hybrid car.

I'll leave my thoughts of the war out of this, because it can become bit of an inflammatory topic.

Actually thats sort of a clever concept.

Can we do like a leadership exchange program? That could be fun. It would be like a reality tv show.
