360 Team Fortress 2 updates

Ok so the 360 will FINALLY get some updates, but they will cost money. Most likely 10 bucks per package, and probably 3 packs in total. So still the console owners are getting shafted. My issue is the price tag. I'm starting to wonder if I should just buy the PC version since it will end up being about the same price.

The reason that the packs are gonna cost money is because Microsoft is basically forcing them to cost money.

You probably would be better off getting the PC version, if for no other reason than we already have 3 updates and you have none.

Also, you know that there is at least 6 more updates coming, and for sure they're gonna cost money too. Plus, with the PC version you get to use Steam and a mouse.

You are a terrible salesperson.

Also, yeah, I'd stick with PCs for TF2. Multiplayer FPSs dont really translate to console real well in my mind. >.> Oh and updates! Yeah! That too! :sweatdrop

STEAM WAS FORCIBLY EJACULATED INTO OUR EAGER, GAPPING MAWS BY THE MIGHTY AND BENEVOLENT PENIS OF GOD HIMSELF.

Also, yeah, get the PC version, Microsoft forces companies to charge money for most updates on Xbox live. I think they get one that they can put up for download for free, and that's their limit.

Y'know if you put a shortcut on your desktop you barely ever have to touch Steam. At all.

I think the PC version's better if only for the community...although I have to say that most 360 owners need to make sure they know that ubercharge charges faster during setup on PC so said owners don't spend the entire set-up phase grenade screwing themselves for no reason.

Also, the PC version shoots skittles. Just like that.

I'm curious to where you heard this if you remember.

For the 360 will you need the updates to play. I just bought Orange Box I bought it just for Portal but was thinking about playing TF2 just a little. If it is going to require the updates I'm going to need to get it out of the way soon.

I looked it up, and I WAS OFF, SLIGHTLY.

They can put one thing UP for download, free. If they want to put another update up for download they have to pay Microsoft a hefty financial sum. It's supposed to discourage rushing out a game and then gradually fixing it through patches.

well to be clear, I prefer using a consol. Yea you have a mouse that aids in aiming, but you lack an analog stick for movement. Plus I could never get used to the hotkeys which are essential in these games.

On the other hand PC has higher match numbers, which is certainly a plus. And free updates.

By the way, they are giving the console all the current updates in one large package. Thats the reason it took so long, they were waiting to have enough content to warrent the 10 bucks microsoft was forcing them to charge

You CAN use a controller on the PC, so that isn't an excuse really anymore. I prefer the PC all the way. Now I just wish Steam had a good achievement system.
