Command and Conquer: Red Alert being handed out for freesies.

Legally, comrade.

I think I'll jump into it....

....after I sort through the few hundred freeware games I still have. :sweatdrop

I was so excited because I thought you were talking about the Red Alert 3 beta or something.

...Thanks for ruining my day...

Absolutely agreed. How the hell can your day be ruined by news like that?

EDIT: Shit, I gotta figure out to make it work on me machine.

Red Alert being released for free doesn't do a thing for me because I already own the game. My dad bought it around the time it was released, so I could still probably run it.

And here I was playing Red Alert 2 as well, which I still find way better, getting myself really excited for Red Alert 3, and yet doubting that EA can possibly save the franchise considering their track record. I mean, CnC3 was an okay game, but it just didn't feel like CnC. Kane's Wrath was also not too great from what I hear although I didn't buy it. I was excited because I thought I could see if RA3 made up for it, or in fact if it was any good at all.

...Playing older Red Alerts just makes me lose hope in the new one, actually...

I broke my Red alert cds years ago while accidentally using them for CD cricket.
This is awesome!

I was mildly disappointed, I say mildly because I was hoping it was Red Alert 2. I wasn't even aware of Red Alert 3, I am unbelievably happy to hear about it. Red Alert is, in my opinion, the best of the command and conquer series.

I really gotta dig it out and erase some commies from the universe. I love my chronotroopers

Well apparently if you preorder Red Alert 3, you get Red Alert 2... for FREE (fuck I find it funny how they always put FREE in all caps ^^)

Well I've never played Red Alert so I thought I'd check it out, maybe if it was good I'd get RA2.

So apparently if you've got 64bit XP you can't install the thing, ever, no matter what, because fuck you that's why. NO SALE.

C&C:FD only cost like 20 bucks for, what, 6 games?

I already have it [again, as I've no clue where my original CDs went] and many others thanks to the First Decade collection. Still, this is neat that they're doing it.
