TV Tropes eventually brought me to http://www.ghosteo.net/, which apparently does a lot of projects, including hacking Brawl so characters look a bit more like characters from other series.

That doesn't look like Link to me... I can't support the notion of hacking a game just to get the characters to look right...

Looks a whole lot like the Fierce Deity though. Must be some kind of crazy coincidence...

If they would tweak the Fierce Deity just a little bit more, it would be the greatest thing ever. And if they could change the mesh of the sword, I would bow before them.

I still give them props for working on this, and they seem to be improving. Compare the original Fierce Deity to the Wink version they made, for example.

And besides, Meta Vader.

I mean, that wins the argument automatically.

Toon Link's final smash should have been Fierce Deities Mask.

If they were to make Samus look like Megaman Volnutt or make someone look like Geno, I would die happy.

I wonder if other forms of media have ever experienced this phenomenon.

"Hey, Taxi Driver's pretty good. Let's do a remake and replace Travis Bickle with Batman! That would be awesome!"

I only want to see one thing out of all this: I want one of the Fire Emblem characters done up to look like The Master/God from Actraiser. Granted, it would take a level of editing a bit beyond what they've done thus far, but I don't think it'd be beyond their abilities.

I know I won't get it, but I can dream.
